Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the multivibrator circuit having good linearity in input voltage versus output frequency characteristics, by providing the FET constant current circuit with the emitter of the transistor. CONSTITUTION:The constant current circuit is constituted with FET 8 and 9, and the gate voltage of FET is given from the operational amplifiers 10 and 11. The non-inverting input of the operational amplifier is kept at the control voltage Vi and the feedback current ib flows from the source resistors 12, 13(resistance value R1) to the inverting input of the operational amplifier. In this case, the current is constant, j0=Vi/R1+jb. Normally, in case of operational amplifier, jb is several nA to several muA. Since this value is smaller in several orders than that of the bipolar transistor, j0=Vi/R1 can be regarded. That is, the linearity in input voltage versus output current is very excellent, and accordingly, the linearity in input voltage versus output frequency can be obtained from the relation of oscillation frequency f i0/C.
