Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost with test-only terminals reduced in number by using a terminal, assigned only for output processing when an user uses it, as a microcomputer chip test input terminal at the time of factory forwarding.
CONSTITUTION: Synchronizing-signal output terminals 2 of one-chip microcomputer 1 are used as output-only terminals when an user uses it. Synchronizing with the instruction of microcomputer 1, synchronizing signal (c) drives driver 3 and when signal (c) becomes high in level, a low-level output appears at terminal 2. With signal (c) at a low level, terminal 2 is high in level, a high level is latched to FF5 output latch signal (b), and mode signal (a) becomes low in level, showing an unpassive state. At the time of factory forwarding, LSI tester 6 is connected to terminal 2 and when inputting test-mode request signal (d) makes driver 9 conductive, terminal 2 becomes low in level, so that a low level will be latched FF5 by latch signal (b). After test mode signal (a) is made high in level to obtain a passive state, test information can be inputted from terminal.
