Abstract
PURPOSE: To impart superior magnetic characteristics by mixing the fine particles of metals, etc. of oxydation-reduction potential higher than that of metal particles to these particles.
CONSTITUTION: The ferromagnetic metal particles obtained by a wet type reduction method are mixed with the fine particles of the metals of oxidation-reduction potential higher than that of the said metals or the alloys partly composed of the said metals or their oxides and the mixture is heat-treated in reducing gas. This reduces the contact among the metal particles, prevents the sintering owing to high- temperature heat treatment (for example, 380°C), accelerates the reduction reaction because the metals of higher oxidation-reduction potentials are reduced first, and ends the reaction in a short time.
