The cooling jacket surrounding the stator of an electrical machine has duets 2 through which a fan blows hot air originating in the machine and tubes 3 and ducts 4 through which cooling air is circulated. The ribs 5 of the jacket in contact with the stator packet provide an additional cooling surface.
