Abstract

PURPOSE: To shave off cut slag from the back face by reversely feeding the slab, by inclining the cutter blade in the carrying direction.
CONSTITUTION: A slab 3 carried by a roller table 1 collides against the cam-shaped back face of a blade protruding from the carrying surface. As a result, the blade part 5 is turned clockwide, and inclined by a counterweight 22. When the slab 3 reaches a stopper 2, it is detected by a sensor, and a reverse feed command is issued to the roller table 1, so that the slab 3 is fed reversely in the opposite direction. At this time, since an upward pressure is applied to the blade part 5 by a compression spring 17, when the slab 3 moves reversely, it is forced to turn counterclockwise until the perpendicular position. When the cut slag 3a at the lower face of the slab 3 hits against the cutting blade 5a, the end bites into the cut slag 3a, so that the blade part 5 stands upright.
