Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high-performance permanent-magnet alloy by composing x, y and z of alloy expressed by a general formula R(CO1-x-y.Fex.My)z within respective specified ranges, making said component into fine powder, and heating and aging said powder under the specified conditions after the sintering at a specified temperature.
CONSTITUTION: In an alloy expressed by a general formula R(CO1-x-y.Fex.My)z, R is composed by one or two elements of Y, Ce, Pr, Sm and the like, and M is composed of one or two elements of Ti, Ni, Cu, Zr and the like. The constituent elements are weighed so that they are in the ranges of 0.02≤x≤0.5, 0.01≤y≤0.3 and 8.3≤z≤9.0. Said component is made to be fine powder. The powder is blended in a magnetic field, compressed, and molded. The base material is sintered at 1,100W1,250°C, and heated and aged at the temperature within the range of 700W 800°C for 0.5W200hr. By this method, a high-performance permanent magnetic alloy can be obtained.
