Abstract
PURPOSE:Casting mold material for continuous casting equipment, composed of Cu as main material added one or two kind or more of Cr, Ti, Fe, Mg and Ce at a fixed ratio and improved the present performance of Cr copper moreover. CONSTITUTION:The above mentioned casting mold material, composed of Cu as main material added one kind or more of Cr; 0.70-1.5, Ti; 0.05-0.20, Fe; 0.03-0.50, Mg; 0.01-0.20 and Ce; 0.005-0.05 by weight %. Life of the above material is shown 1.8 times of transformation life against usual Cr copper plate and 2.5 times or more of life against surface roughness life of menicus part. Also, the above material is manufactured by the following process. That is, the material is melted in a low frequency induction melting furnace in inactive gas atmosphere after combining each component so as to be obtained a fixed chemical composition. Next, Durville casting of the above molten metal is carried out in the metal mold at about 1,200 deg.C and homogenizing heating of obtained ingot is carried out after rough cutting and next, homogeneous plate material is made by casting at a temperature of 950-600 deg.C. Then, the above matieral is heated at about 500 deg.C for a fixed time after carrying out homogeneous heating at about 1,000 deg.C and then, carrying out water hardening rapidly and desired mechanical property is given.
