Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the effect that the change of environmental temperatures gives on the measured velocity of flow by constituting the magnetic circuit by series-connecting the yokes composed of high magnetic permeability material of high magnetic permeability and small residual magnetic flux and the magnet body composed of permanent magnet material.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic circuit 4 is constituted by series-connecting the yokes 5a, 5b composed of the high magnetic permeability material of high magnetic permeability and residual magnetic flux and the magnet body 6 composed of permanent magnet material, as a result of which the effect of the change of environmental temperatures upon the residual magnetic flux is determined substantially by the magnet body 6 alone. And yet, with the permanent magnet material of not so much high coercive force, rapid rise of magnetic flux and fast saturation, e.g., the magnet body 6 composed of Alnico 1, the fluctuations that the residual magentic flux receives occuring in the change in environmental temperatures are so small that there are virtually no fluctuations in the magnetic flux in the gap of the magnetic poles 4a, 4b, thus the errors that the change in environmental temperatures gives upon the measured velocity of flow may be prevented.
