Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible the higher speed of normal weld beads by providing an arc deflecting nozzle and molten pool suppressing nozzle by blowing of gas to the shielded nozzle with electrode thereby suppressing the formation of solid walls right under the electrode and assisting the flow of molten metal to the periphery.
CONSTITUTION: Shielding gas 11 such as Ar is always blown toward the end part of the electrode 2 in the approximate center part of the shielded nozzle 1 of welding equipment, particularly TIG welding equipment. A molten pool 4 is formed by the arc 3 formed between the electrode 2 and base metal 12, by which weld beads 5 are formed. At this time, deflecting gas 61 is blown toward the arc by the arc deflecting nozzle 6 provided to the shielded nozzle 1 so that the arc is deflected in the welding (A) direction. Supressing gas 71 is blown to the molten pool 4 by the similar molten pool suppressing nozzle 7, so that the molten pool is suppressed from above.
