Abstract

PURPOSE: To restrict generation of NOx effectively by a method wherein ring combustion exhaust gas is positively mixed with the primary air before the primary combustion chamber.
CONSTITUTION: On the outside of the tip end portion of a fuel nozzle 4 projected toward the primary combustion chamber 14 beyond the front end face of a flange 17 at the tip end of ring combustion pipe 7, there is provided a flange-shaped overhang 20 in such a manner as to interrupt the extension of a ring (or annular) combustion chamber 10, thereby forming a gas mixing chamber 23 between itself and the flange 17. In the chamber 23, ring exhaust gas W1 formed in and discharged from the chamber 10 is mixed with primary air A1 jetted from a primary air jet port 15 formed in the gap between the outer periphery of the flange 17 and a primary combustion chamber 13, to form a mixture gas Aw of an oxygen concentration of 13W17%, which is mixed with main fuel G2 jetted from a main fuel jet port 5, for combustion with restricted NOx generation.
