Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive the production of a low volume of NOx by a method wherein air and fuel are fed to a burner having a plurality of flame ports and a secondary air is fed around the burner so as to form a flame region while the air stream crossing at a preset angle with a secondary flame region is injected.
CONSTITUTION: Volume of fuel is defined by a nozzle 4, injected into the burner 1, and mixed in a mixing chamber 3 with air fed by a fan device 18 and defined by the air adjustor port 5. The volume of a secondary air is defined by a secondary air adjustor port 11, and the flame is formed at a flame port 2 and expanded into the primary combustion chamber 8. At this time, an air ratio in the primary combustion chamber 8 is set less than 100%, thereby the volume of NOx being generated is decreased. Outer flame of the flame formed in the primary combustion chamber 8 is expanded into the secondary combustion chamber 13 and combustion is performed under a difused flame condition. Air defined at the tertiary air adjusting port 12 is struck against the flame from the injection port 9 under a relatively high speed, and thereby a high load combustion is enabled.
