Abstract

PURPOSE: To constitute accurate and economical multiplier for complex number, by taking three times for the parts of operation of real number multiplication, and simplifying the operation function of complex number.

CONSTITUTION: The complex number multiplier multiplying the complex number input signal with complex coefficient is provided with the first, second and third multiplier 11, 12 and 13, multiplying the coefficient of real number obtained from the linear coupling of the real and imaginary part of the complex coefficient, and further, is provided with the first, second and third adders 14, 15, and 16. Further, the real part X of the complex input signal is respectively fed to the first multiplier 11 and the first adder 14, and the imaginary part Y of the complex input signal is inputted to the first adder 14 and the third multiplier 13. Further, the output of the adder 14 is fed to the second multiplier 12, the output of the first multiplier 11 and the branched output of the second multiplier 12 are fed to the second adder 15, the branched output of the second multiplier 12 and the output of the third multiplier 13 are fed to the third adder 16, and the real part U and the imagenary part V of the complex input signal are outputted respectively from the second and third adders 15 and 16.
