Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject method and device wherein a film supplied in a tubular shape is cut open on the upper surface thereof, and an article is supplied in the inner part of said tubular film, thereafter the cut ends of the film are overlapped and sealed on the upper surface of the article, whereby the packaging of a large- size heavy weighted article can be performed by a compact device.
CONSTITUTION: A tubular film 1 wound around a reel is pulled out, and the central part of the film is cut with a knife 3 provided on the upper surface of the pull-out passage and formed into a groove shape by guides 4 and 4'. Then, if necessary, drying agent packs and the like are charged, and an article 5 is supplied from the upper part by a crane in the inner part of the film opened in a groove shape by the guides 4 and 4' and guides 9 and 9' provided by being spaced apart from guides 4 and 4' at suitable intervals. The groove-shaped film and the article 5 supplied to the inner part thereof are conveyed by means of a conveyor, and during the conveying process the cut ends of the film 1 are overlapped and sealed on the upper surface of the article 5, and finally sealed tightly in front and rear parts of the article 5, thus the packaging being completed.
