Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a fuel injection type engine which enables the amount of fuel to attain extremely close to a level required by the engine in term of the ratio of fuel increase at the cold start while to be reduced quickly to that in terms of the ideal air-fuel ratio after the start of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: Mainly in a fuel injection type engine for automobiles, temperature sensors 13 and 10 are respectively provided in an exhaust line, for instance, an exhaust manifold 3 and in one line of the engine, for instance a cooling water path 9 in which the rising rate of the temperature becomes lower than that in the exhaust line after the cold start of the engine 1. The sum of the output signals of the temperature sensors 13 and 10 is inputted to a computer 14 and the input signal is converted to a signal for opening time of a fuel injection valve 15 with the computer which is inputted to the valve 15. With such an arrangement, the fuel can be fed more effectively than the conventional system in which the water temperature alone determines the fuel increase ratio at the cold start.
