Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a braking system for a brake motor, which system utilizes the pressing force of the brake and the reaction force of the releasing force thereof.
CONSTITUTION: When a current is carried to a motor, a rotor 27 revolves, and simultaneously the current is carried to an electromagnet 12, and a lever 14 pulls a frame 19 to the right side by the attraction of an electromagnet 13. Simultaneously, since the lever 14 pulls a mounting shaft 16 to the left side, friction material 21 and 21' are separated from a friction disc 22 thereby to make the revolution of the disc 22 free. Then, when the current is shut off, the attraction of the electromagnet 13 is released, and hence the lever 14 presses the mounting shaft 16 to the right side with a pin 30 as a fulcrum, thus the friction material 21 being pressed against the disc 22. Simultaneously, since the pin 30 is forced to the left side to pull the frame 19 to the left side, the friction material 21' mounted thereon is pressed against the friction disc 22 to stop the rotation of the friction desc 22.
