CONSTITUTION:The strip 6 is successively wound around the deflector roll 26, upper backup roll 1a, upper work roll 4a, lower work roll 4b, lower backup roll 1b and deflector roll 27; hereby, the strip 6 is rolled. The wedge 11, for use of moving the roll chock 9 of the intermediate roll 2a, is moved toward the center line 24; and the wedge 11 for moving the chock 9' is moved in the direction opposite to the center line 24; hereupon, both wedges 11, 11, are moved by the same distance; as a result, the intermediate roll 2a tilts in its horizontal plane 3 against the work rolls 4a, 4b, so as to make roll-crossing. When the movements of above stated two wedges 11, 11, are made different, the cross point 5a of roll-crossing can be shifted.
