Upper sleeves 15, 16, and lower sleeves 17, 18, are arranged at positions symmetrical with respect to the center 0 of the rolled material S. The acting point of the rolling force loaded by the backup rolls 13, 14, upon the work rolls 11, 12, changes correspondingly to the positions of sleeves 15, 16, 17, 18, so that the work rolls 11, 12, can be bent so as to obtain the required crown of the rolled material S.
