Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a fluorescent lamp which emits a bluish green light at a high efficiency under the excitation by ultraviolet ray, vacuum ultraviolet ray, electron beam, or the like, having a fluorscent film comprising the conventional aluminate fluorscent substance activated by Eu2+ and M2+ and a fluorescent substance with a proper amount of B2O3 solved solidly.
CONSTITUTION: This fluorscent lamp has a fluorescent film comprising an aluminate fluorescent substance activated by Eu2+ and M2 as given in the formulaI. For a fluorescent substance as shown in this formula, for example, is available (Ba0.03, Mg0.06)0.3(Al0.95,B0.05)2O3: Eu2+, 0.05Mn2+. To obtain this fluorescent substance, for example, BaO, MgO, Al2O3, B2O3, Eu2O3, and MnO is separately measured to meet the requirement in a composition formula and mixed thoroughly with a ball mill or the like. Then, the mixture is filled into a heatproof vessel and baked several times at 1,200 to 1,700°C in the air or a reductive atmosphere.
