Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to secure the agreement between the gun axis of an electron gun and the tube axis of a neck and also to prevent the disturbance of the electric field of a main electron lens, by providing a support member which holds the potential of the neck inner wall at a fixed value while making the tube axis agree with the gun axis.
CONSTITUTION: Several electrodes are arranged via insulating support plate 28 and mounted on stem 30.
