Abstract

PURPOSE: To promote the absorption mixing with refrigerant for improving the efficiency of thermal collection by giving spiral or other roughness on heat pipes in an absorption division and distributing absorption liquid from the upper part of the absorption division for forming uniform liquid film over the surface of the heat pipes.
CONSTITUTION: A wire 22 is spirally winded over the surface of a heat pipe 4 for shaping spiral roughness. Low temperature heat source fluid, as flowing down on the inner walls of heat pipes 5 of an evaporator B to be discharged through a discharge port 16 of a collection chamber 16, works to heat and evaporate the refrigerant sprayed on the surfaces of heat pipes 5 from spray nozzles 20, and is cooled in itself. The refrigerant evaporated in a division 8 is moved to a division 7 of an absorber A through mist-separators 6, and absorbed by the absorption liquid supplied from spray nozzles 18 over the surfaces of heat pipes 4 to be upset and mixed in liquid films by the roughness of the surfaces. The efficient absorption of the refrigerant thus improved serves to promote the efficiency of thermal transmission.
