Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a miniature and high zoom lens of well corrected various aberrations by forming the optical system with a focusing 1st group, zooming 2nd, 3rd groups and stationary 4th group and satisfying specified conditions.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st group lens I of positive power is constituted by a negative and three positive, total four lenses 1 thru 4 and the sum P of the powers of each face of the lens 1 and the object side face of the lens 2 is so arranged as to satisfy the conditions of formula III. The group II is constituted by a negative meniscus lens 5 which is convex on the object side, biconcave lens 5, biconcave lens 6 and biconcave and biconvex cemented lenses 7, 8. The focal lengths f1 thru f3 of the respective groups I thru III are let to satisfy the conditions of formulas I, III. At the zooming, the group II of respectively negative powers is moved to the image plane side and the group III is moved to the object side, then the zoom lens of the type whose various aberrations, particularly Petzval sum, are well corrected is provided. Here, fT denotes the focal length of the entire system and FT the maximum aperture ratio at the telescope end.
