Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce NOx effectively and restrict smoke creation by circulating exhaust gas according to the engien load.
CONSTITUTION: An atmosphere opening room 26 is devided from a negative pressure room 27 by a diaphragm 21 included in a diaphragm device 20 that controls a valve body 13. The negative pressure chamber 27 is communicated with a Venturi 4. The valve body 13 moves up or down according to the movement of the diaphragm 21, which is affected by the negative pressure varying according to the operation of a butterfly valve 5 coincided with the operation of an accelerating pedal 7. The sectional area of the recirculation passage 11 varies in ratio to that of a suction pipe 3. Exhaust gas to recirculate gains in amount in the low load range and it decreases in amount in the high load range so that NOx may reduce in amount in the low load range and smoke may reduce in amount in the high load range.
