Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate a split range control by offsetting the influence from a voltage Ve, while floating the emitter potential of a transistor receptive of the output of an operational amplifier by the voltage Ve, thereby to simplify a main circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The emitter potential of an NPN transistor 8 is made to float by the voltage level Ve of a negative power source 7 through a resistor RE. The emitter potential is divided by means of resistors R1 and R2 and is fed negatively to the opposite phase input terminal of an operational amplifier 3. The voltage Ve is divided by means of resistors R3 and R4 and fed to the correct phase input terminal of the amplifier 3. By the relationship of R1 = R3 and R2 = R4, the influence from the voltage Ve is offset. As a result, the voltage Ve does not appear at the output so that an output current IO accurately proportional to the input voltage Ei can be obtained.
