Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid the malfunction with satisfaction of the base bias conditions although the elements have some dispersion by increasing the emitter area of the transistor constituting the starting circuit and thus using VBE in a small amount.
CONSTITUTION: As output transistor Q11 is not turned on at the starting time, no bias is applied to the base of Q7 and thus with no ON given to Q7. However, the current flows to the starting circuit via resistance R1, and as a result the bias is applied to the base of Q6 constituting the differential switching circuit. Thus Q6 is turned on. As a result, Q4 and Q5 forming the current Miller circuit are turned on to accordingly turn on Q11, and thus the reference voltage is generated at output terminal V0. The reference voltage is applied in the form of the base bias of Q7 owing to the 1st bias circuit consisting of R5 and R6. And Q6 is turned off as soon as Q7 is turned on. So that Q10 is turned on to control Q11, thus obtaining the steady reference voltage at V0.
