Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively flatten a base after drying adjacent pixels by placing a colored transparent resin on the base, then pressing a letterpress on the resin of an unnecessary part to transfer it, and thereafter removing the resin of a protruding part from the base. SOLUTION: In the case of patterning resin in a predetermined shape on a glass base 1, various inks are adhered to mixing rollers 7-1 to 7-3. And, at the time of locating a moving frame 11 at a right end of a fixed frame 10, the inks are adhered to the respective rollers 7-1 to 7-3, and transferred to rollers 12-1 to 12-3. And, the inks are supplied to printing plates 8-1 to 8-3 by moving the frame 11 to leftward. Then, a transfer cylinder 13 is rotated in one revolution on the respective plates 8-1 to 8-3, and images of three plates are transferred onto a transfer sheet 18 adhered onto the cylinder 13. The image on the sheet 18 is transferred onto the base 1 by further moving it, the image on the base 1 is pressed by a first cylinder 14 of the press to flatten a pixel. Thereafter, the ink near the pixel is removed by a letterpress 17 of a second cylinder 16 of the press.

As a problem to be solved in order to improve the quality in the printing method, particularly in the three-color printing method in the future, as a problem to be solved in the future, as shown in FIG. Matching ink 2-1 and 2-
When the pigment BM is formed on the glass substrate 1 as the light shielding film 3, the filter surface is one step away from the pigment BM. It is to reduce the step 5 which becomes high, and further to reduce the meandering width 6 formed by meandering right and left as shown in FIG. The cause of these phenomena is that the transparent colored resin forming one pixel has a volume greater than the required amount or has a variation in volume, and these are made uniform. Things are a challenge.

A second process is performed in which each of -1, 8-2, and 8-3 is rotated once, and an image for three plates is transferred onto one transfer sheet 18 attached to the transfer cylinder 13. By further moving, the third step of transferring the image on the transfer sheet 18 onto the glass substrate 1 is performed, and FIG. 2A is obtained. Subsequently, the first cylinder 14 presses the image on the substrate 1 as shown in FIG. 2B, and the fourth step of flattening the constituent pixels is performed. At this time, the relief plate 17 on the surface of the press second cylinder 16 which moves similarly so that the ink to be spread out does not spread more than a predetermined amount, as shown in FIG. Step 5 is performed.

At this time, the ink adhered to the relief 17 is removed by the cleaning roller 15. In the above-described embodiment, the glass substrate 1 with the pigment BM was used, and the relief plate 17 was manufactured using a printerite plate as a resin relief plate so that the BM region portion became convex. The cleaning roller 15 was formed by winding a micro-star around a rubber roller having a hardness of 70 and impregnating with acetone as a solvent.
The above-described first to third steps are performed three to five times as normal printing conditions, and the fourth and fifth steps are repeated as necessary to dry and flatten as shown in FIG. 2D. The effect was able to be obtained.

FIG. 4 shows an example of patterning of a resin for a light-shielding film used for a color filter. A black pigment having a Ralay viscosity of 60 to 90 is prepared by adding 20% to 40% of a black pigment to an epoxy melamine varnish. This resin is applied to the substrate 1 by a coater using a blade in a thickness of 1 to 2 μm, and the substrate 1 is placed on a letterpress direct printing press 19 to which a cleaning plate 18 is attached, and is processed. The coated substrate 1 is placed on a printing platen 9, and a resin upper plate 20 having a predetermined shape in which a portion of the substrate 1 from which the resin is to be removed is made to be convex is wound around a printing cylinder 21.
A non-woven fabric 22 impregnated with a solvent is placed on the printing plate 8, and the printing cylinder 21 is moved by the cleaning plate 18
Unnecessary resin is removed from the substrate 1 through the upper portion of the resin upper plate 20 by rolling on the upper side and the substrate 1 to obtain a desired pattern.

According to the present invention, as described above, after the transparent colored resin is placed on the substrate, the unnecessary portion of the resin is pressed with a relief plate and transferred to remove the resin of the convex portion from the substrate. Because of this, it is possible to obtain the flattening of the adjacent pixels after drying, and it is possible to suppress the projection amount from 0.6 to 0.5 μ in the related art to about 0.1 to 0.2 μ. Even if the volume of each ink is different, the surplus ink protruding into the BM area can be removed, so that the meandering of the interface can be reduced, so that the BM
By narrowing the width, a filter having a higher aperture ratio can be made. Even in the pattern formation of the light shielding film, it is considered impossible by the printing method because the linearity of the edge is required,
What was produced by the photolithography process (resin application, drying, exposure, development, and drying), but by devising the printing as in the present invention, the printing method (resin application, printing, and drying) can be combined with the photolithography process. This has the effect that the same edge linearity can be obtained.
