2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a cloth amount detection (capacity detection) related to drum washing, washing in a drum is performed based on a difference between an actual water supply amount supplied to a rotating drum and a reference water supply amount. The agitation motor is rotated with a smaller amount of power than the large amount of power supplied to the agitation motor at the time of washing, and the amount of medium in the laundry is determined based on the number of rotations at that time. A method for detecting the time, and driving the drum containing the laundry to rotate at an incremental speed until the drum reaches the preset first speed, and the time when the driven motor reaches the set speed, There is a method in which the speed is maintained for a preset time, the motor power supply is cut off thereafter, and the amount of cloth is detected from the time until the drum rotates and stops due to inertial force.

In the prior art as described above, the amount of cloth is detected by supplying water to the laundry stored in the drum and based on the difference between the actual amount of water supplied and the reference amount of water supplied. The amount of cloth is judged. However, this method is inconvenient because the user has to check the amount to be washed beforehand and add an appropriate amount of detergent in advance.

Further, in order to detect the magnitude of the cloth amount by the electric power supplied to the stirring motor, the influence of the friction loss of each part of the drive mechanism cannot be avoided and the cloth amount cannot be detected with high accuracy. In the method of judging the amount of cloth from the rise time to the set drum rotation speed to the time from when the power supply is cut off to when the rotation is stopped by the inertial rotation, the rotation time is determined due to imbalance with cloth in the drum. Can change significantly,
There is also a problem that the cloth amount cannot be detected with high accuracy and the detection time is long.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION A drum-type washing and drying machine according to the present invention has solved the above-mentioned problems, and a motor for charging laundry into a drum and rotating the drum is operated at a low frequency and a low voltage. Go up step by step, detect the start of the drum by the rotation speed detecting means inside the motor, find the frequency and applied voltage value at that time, then raise the drum to the critical rotation speed and reach stable rotation The time until braking and stopping are determined, and a criterion for determining the cloth amount (the capacity of the laundry) is determined based on these two values.
In order to keep the number of rotations constant during the drying step, the motor speed is constantly changed to a motor suitable voltage by a signal of the rotation speed detecting means, and the motor is driven with the minimum power.

In the drum-type washing / drying machine of the present invention, the voltage at the start of the motor for driving the drum is higher as the moment of inertia of the drum including the cloth amount is larger and the friction loss of the belt or the like is larger. In addition, the time from the critical rotation speed to the braking and stopping is longer as the moment of inertia is larger and the friction loss of the belt or the like is smaller. With time, the effect of the moment of inertia is the same, but the effect of friction loss is contradictory, so based on both values, only the change in the effect of the moment of inertia can be detected in a short time,
High-accuracy cloth amount detection (capacity detection) can be performed.

At this time, if the motor 12 has not started yet, the voltage and frequency are increased according to the above-described pattern, and the process is repeated until a signal from the rotation speed detector 121 is detected. When the rotation speed is detected by the rotation speed detector 121, the voltage and frequency at that time are stored in the microcomputer 617 in the control device. Subsequently, the drum is rotated at a rotational speed equal to or higher than the critical rotational speed, and braking is performed when the rotational speed reaches a certain rotational speed.

The use of any of the above-mentioned braking methods makes it possible to stop the drum that rotates by inertia in a short time. Thus, the time from the start of braking to the stop of the motor 12 is confirmed by the rotation speed detector 121 and stored in the microcomputer in the control device 6. In the microcomputer, the cloth capacity is calculated by recognizing in accordance with a pattern matching both values by a constant obtained in advance through experiments or the like.

Next, the second type of the drum type washing and drying machine of the present invention will be described.
An embodiment will be described. After detecting the cloth capacity, the control device 6 sets the water supply amount and the washing time according to the capacity, and executes the selected course set in advance by the user. The washing method of the drum-type washing / drying machine is a knock-washing method in which the operation of lifting and lowering laundry (hereinafter, referred to as tumbling) on a plurality of baffles 19 provided in the rotating drum 4 is repeated.

To remove dirt from the laundry, the better the number of times of tumbling, the better. However, if the number of times of tumbling is increased, the washing time becomes longer. Conversely, if the washing time is shortened, there is a problem that dirt does not come off. However, the above problem can be reduced by detecting the capacity of the cloth and setting the number of rotations of the drum according to the capacity.

FIG. 5 shows the relationship between the number of rotations of the drum and the centrifugal force.
When the capacity is small, for example, 1 kg, the rotation speed A at which the laundry sticks in the drum is low at point A, and when the capacity is large, for example, 5 kg, the rotation speed is high at point E, and the capacity and the rotation speed are proportional. ing. From this, by selecting an appropriate rotation for the cloth volume, more tumbling can be obtained, and the washing power and the washing time can be reduced.

A triangular wave signal S having a constant frequency and amplitude is compared with a three-phase sine wave signal P1 or Pn synchronized with the triangular wave signal S to generate a short-wave pulse VP1 or VPn, which is applied to the motor. Here, the voltage applied to the motor is set to an arbitrary voltage by changing the magnitude of the amplitude value A of the three-phase sine wave signal. The control device 6 checks the rotation speed detector 121 when the voltage VP1 is applied to the motor, for example, to reduce the power during the drying process.

If there is no difference from the set rotation speed, the applied voltage is reduced by (P1) -1. That is, the short-wave pulse applied to the motor with a three-phase sine wave waveform lower than P1 is reduced,
(P1) -1 is repeated until the rotation speed of the motor becomes lower than the set value, and the minimum voltage value is searched. On the other hand, when the motor rotation speed becomes low, (P1) +1 is performed to perform the control to recover the rotation and maintain the stable rotation.
By performing the above control, the minimum voltage drive can be always performed, and wasteful power can be reduced.

First, before end detection is performed, a pre-determined value different from the initial reference value is obtained. The start-up voltage (V
After obtaining 1), the minimum voltage (V2) at which the rotation can be maintained at the drying rotation speed, for example, 55 rpm, is obtained, and this is the pre-determined value (M2). The control described in the third embodiment is performed based on the prior judgment value (M2), and the prior judgment value (M2) is compared with the current minimum voltage, and when both values are equal or the latter value is small. Then, the cloth amount detection which is the final judgment is executed again. Thus, the value obtained at the beginning and the value obtained after the drying are compared to determine the final end of the drying.

In order to promote the drying, the better the contact between the warm air and the laundry and the more the laundry is replaced, the better.
For this reason, more stirring and tumbling by the plurality of baffles provided in the rotating drum contribute to the promotion of drying, and the above problem can be reduced by setting the number of rotations of the drum to match the cloth capacity.

That is, the rotational speed of the drum and the centrifugal force are shown in FIG.
When the capacity is small, for example, 1 kg, the number of rotations A at which the laundry is stuck in the drum is low at point A, and when the capacity is large, for example, 5 kg, point E is high, and the capacity and the number of rotations are proportional. By selecting an appropriate rotation for the cloth capacity, more tumbling can be obtained, and drying can be accelerated and time can be reduced.

In order to promote the drying, it is better that the contact between the warm air and the laundry or the replacement of the laundry is greater. However,
A lot of water is contained in the laundry at the beginning of drying, and when the laundry is rotated normally in this state, the laundry is dropped on the inner wall of the drum and causes a cloth pain. In order to prevent the above-mentioned problems, the drying speed is set to be lower than the normal speed in the initial stage of drying, and the rotating speed is increased to the steady speed as the drying progresses. Can be performed.

The progress of the drying is determined by determining the starting voltage in the cloth amount detection stage performed in advance, and then determining the drying rotation speed, for example, 55 r.
The minimum voltage at which rotation can be maintained at pm is determined. As this value approaches this voltage value in the dry state of the laundry, it is determined that the drying has progressed, and the rotation speed is increased.

Next, the operation will be described with reference to FIG. After the washing is completed, the moisture contained in the laundry is removed in the dehydration step, and the process proceeds to the drying step. In the drying process, the starting point starts from a lower than normal rotation. When the drying progresses gradually, the voltage applied to the motor decreases as the drying progresses. For example, when the voltage changes from the drying start voltage Vs to the current voltage Vn, the rotation speed increases from A to B. As described above, the rotation speed is varied according to the voltage value of the applied voltage, and by closely coordinating with the drying progress state, the cloth is not damaged, and drying can be efficiently performed in a short time.

The drum-type washer / dryer of the present invention has the above-described configuration. Therefore, the invention according to claim 1 is characterized in that the voltage of the motor for rotating and driving the drum is higher than the value of the voltage frequency and the critical rotation speed. Since the determination of the amount of cloth in the drum is obtained from both values of the stop time due to the braking (brake) from the motor, the influence of the friction loss of the belt and the like can be reduced, and the cloth detection accuracy increases. Also,
By using the braking (brake) control to reduce the stop time, the cloth amount can be determined in a short time.

Further, according to the present invention, the number of rotations during the washing process is changed according to the detected amount of cloth, so that when the amount of laundry is small, the number of rotations stuck to the drum is low, and when the amount of laundry is large, the number of rotations is large. Has a characteristic that the number of rotations is increased, and it is possible to obtain the maximum tumbling number of rotations with the number of rotations in accordance with this characteristic, so that the cleaning and rinsing effects can be maximized.

Further, according to the present invention, the rotation torque during the drying process is controlled by the minimum control voltage at which the motor rotation speed becomes constant during the drying process, so that the rotation torque in the initial stage of the drying gradually decreases as the drying progresses. The drying time is shortened by transferring unnecessary power to the heater since the drum is constantly controlled to a voltage at which the drum rotates at a constant speed with a minimum voltage.

Further, according to the present invention, the number of rotations during the drying process is changed by the detected amount of cloth, so that the number of rotations stuck to the drum is reduced when the amount of laundry is small, and conversely when the amount of laundry is large. There is a characteristic that the number of rotations is increased. By performing the rotation at a number of rotations that matches this characteristic, the maximum number of times of tumbling can be obtained, the number of times of contact between the warm air and the laundry increases, and the drying effect can be maximized.
