A lamp housing having a lens mounting hole provided to face the lamp mounting hole, a lens portion having an outer diameter larger than that of the lamp mounting hole at one end side, and screwed into the lens mounting hole at the other end side. A lens having a mounting portion provided with a screw groove, and the mounting portion is screwed into the lens mounting hole through the lamp mounting hole until the lens portion contacts the lower surface of the molded ceiling and is regulated. Then, the room lamp for an automobile, characterized in that the lens is fixed to the lamp housing.
