Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the subject medicine high in water-holding ability, having such antipruritic activity as to cure atopic dermatitis and senile dermal pruritus etc., also causing no side effects, containing, as active ingredient, an extract free from the alcohol solubles of Artemisia capillaris. CONSTITUTION:Dried juvenile stems and leaves of Artemisia capillaris are finely chopped, and water is added to the chopped product followed by boiling for 2hr to perform extraction. This operation is repeated twice, and the resultant filtrate is concentrated under reduced pressures at <=50 deg.C and the concentrate is spray-dried into a dried extract. 小児および成人89名に、毎日就寝前および有症時に掻痒
部に製剤例3の軟膏を5週間連続塗布し、止痒効果を検
討した。 (2)効果の判定方法 各症状ごとに、下記に示す4段階の評価基準を作り、試
験前の症状と試験終了後の症状を比較して、3段階以上
改善効果のあったものを著効、2段階改善効果のあった
ものを有効、1段階改善効果のあったものをやや有効、
不変のものを無効、悪化したものを悪化として判定し
た。

後でも効果が得られず、まだ寝られないという強い掻痒
をもつ重症の患者であることを考えると、70%に達する
止痒効果は高い治療効果を示すものといえる。
