Radiators used in forklifts, particularly those of the corrugated fin type, generally have thin corrugated fins, so that the fins may become crushed when the radiator is cleaned.
In addition, in order to prevent eyelids from collapsing, it is necessary to increase the thickness of the fins, which has the disadvantage of requiring more fin material.

Therefore, according to the corrugated fin of the present invention, the rigidity of the fin is increased due to the synergistic effect of the small waves 6 and the reinforcing ribs 4, and the fin is prevented from being crushed when using the heat exchanger or during cleaning, and provides highly reliable heat treatment. You can make an exchanger.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the entire corrugated fin is bent into a large wave shape, and small waves 6 are provided between the curved surfaces 2 and 3 of the waves. Furthermore, reinforcing ribs 4 are formed at appropriate positions spaced apart from each other in the width direction of the fins so as to intersect with the small waves 6. Note that the small waves 6 and reinforcing ribs 4 are formed only in substantially straight portions that do not reach the edges of the curved surfaces 2 and 3. Note that the amount of deformation of the small waves 6 and the reinforcing ribs 4 and the number thereof can be determined as appropriate depending on various design conditions.

The corrugated fin 5 thus constructed is interposed between the flat tubes 1, 1 which are parallel to each other and spaced apart, as shown in FIG. 2, and its curved surfaces 2, 3 are brought into contact with the outer surface of the tube 1. Then, a brazing material coated on the outer surface of the tube 1 in advance is melted in a furnace, and the corrugated fins 5 and the curved surfaces 2 and 3 are integrally brazed and fixed. Thus, engine cooling water flows through the tube 1, and air flows through the outer surface of the tube 1 and the outer surface of the corrugated fin 5, thereby cooling the cooling water and causing it to flow back into the water jacket of the engine.

(1) This corrugated fin forms small waves 6 between the crests and troughs of the waves, and the waves of the small waves 6 advance in the longitudinal direction of the band-shaped metal plate. At the same time, since the reinforcing ribs 4 are provided on the metal plate so as to intersect with the corrugations 6, the rigidity of the corrugated fin can be increased due to the synergistic effect of the corrugations 6 and the reinforcing ribs 4. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the fins from being crushed during use or cleaning of the radiator, and to provide a highly reliable heat exchanger.

(2) Furthermore, since the rigidity of the fins can be increased, the thickness of the fin material can be reduced, contributing to the weight reduction of the heat exchanger.

(3) Furthermore, due to the presence of the reinforcing ribs 4, the curved surfaces 2 and 3 of the corrugated fin can be brought into reliable contact between the pair of tubes 1 and 1 spaced apart in parallel with each other, thereby providing a heat exchanger with high heat conductivity.

(4) Furthermore, since the present corrugated fin has the small waves 6 and the reinforcing ribs 4, the heat exchange medium flowing on its outer surface is stirred, and heat transfer performance can be improved from this point as well.
