In inkjet recording, so-called plain paper (non-coated paper) such as electrophotographic paper, fan-hold paper, stock form paper, and typewriter paper is often used for monochrome recording or multicolor recording of about 7 colors. When making hard copies of full-color images such as computer graphics and television, so-called coated paper, which is a substrate coated with a pigment such as silica or zeolite, is used.
