この考案は自動二輪車のエンジンに装着された

自動二輪車の組立工程増となるばかりでなく、保
守点検時における取付け取り外し作業が煩雑とな

タモータの前面を覆う位置まで延設し、その延設
された先端部に前記スタータモータの外周面に着
脱自在に嵌着する環状のクランプ部材を前記アン
ダーガードプレートと一体に形成するようにして

いる。一方、前記車体フレーム１２におけるクラ
ンクケース１６を支承するアンダーチユーブ２０
には、クランクケース１６の底面を保護するアン
ダーガードプレート２２の後端２２ａがネジ止め
されている。なお、このアンダーガードプレート
２２は合成樹脂等によつて形成されている。ま
た、このアンダーガードプレート２２の先端部２
２ｂは、第２図に示すように、ダウンチユーブ２
４に沿つて上方に延設され、スタータモータ１８
の前面１８ａを覆つている。また、このアンダー
ガードプレート２２の先端２２ｂには、第３図に
示すように一対のクランプ２６がアンダーガード
プレート２２と一体に突出形成されている。この
クランプ２６は一部を切り欠いた円環状に形成さ
れており、このクランプ２６がスタータモータ１
８の外周面１８ｂに嵌着することにより前記アン
ダーガードプレート２２の先端２２ｂがダウンチ

ることができる。また延設されたアンダーガード
プレートの先端部にスタータモータの外周面に着
脱自在に嵌着する環状のクランプ部材を前記アン
ダーガードプレートと一体に形成するようにした
から、組み付け構造が簡単で、しかも部品点数が
増大せず、このため自動二輪車の組立工程を増大
させることもなく、また保守点検時における取付
け取り外し作業も極めて簡単となる。
