A pot-type oil combustor supplies fuel into the pot, and vaporizes, mixes, and burns it within the pot by receiving air from small holes in the side wall.In order to stabilize combustion, a combustion ring is installed inside the pot. A diffuser plate is installed. For pots with a diffuser plate attached to the center of the upper part of the pot, the main combustion is carried out by the air supplied from the side wall of the pot above the side of the diffuser plate, and the flame electrode for detecting combustion is located at the main combustion part. It can be attached to the side wall of the pot with the front facing up.

If the flame electrode also detects a standing flame during abnormal combustion, the flame electrode is installed below the air hole row on the upper side of the diffuser plate, and when the flame extends upward due to an abnormal combustion condition, the flame is detected from the flame electrode. The abnormal condition can be detected by the decrease in flame current.

By the way, abnormal combustion conditions are detected by increasing or decreasing the flame current during normal combustion conditions, so if the flame electrode is installed at a position where the flame current increases during normal combustion conditions, the current value will be low even in abnormal combustion conditions. There is a problem where the combustion continues without decreasing.
On the other hand, if the flame electrode is installed in a position where the flame current is low during normal combustion, abnormal combustion can be reliably detected, but since the flame current during normal combustion is low, it may be determined that there is an abnormality even during normal combustion, and combustion will be stopped. I have a problem. For this reason, it has been extremely difficult to select the mounting position of the frame electrode.

This idea was developed by modifying the shape of the diffuser plate, which plays an important role in the formation of combustion flames, so that the difference in flame current during normal combustion and abnormal combustion due to standing flames becomes large. 1 is a pot installed in the air passage 2 through which combustion air is supplied; 3 is a small hole drilled in the side wall of the pot; the air supplied to the air passage 2 by the blower 7 flows from the small hole 3 into the pot 1 sent to. 4 is a dish-shaped diffuser plate located in the center of the upper part of the pot 1, 8 is a combustion ring attached to the side wall of the pot 1 below the diffuser plate 4; It is fixed. 3' is an air hole made in the side wall above the side wall of the diffusion plate 4 among the small holes 3 made in the side wall of the pot, and the main combustion is carried out by the air supplied from the air hole 3'. It can be done. Reference numeral 5 denotes a frame electrode which is attached to the side wall of the pot 1 below the air hole 3' and looks into the pot 1.

4' is the outer edge of the diffuser plate 4, which is tapered or rounded to form an upwardly convex diffuser plate 4; A protrusion 6 is formed substantially in front of the air hole 3' at the bottom of the air hole 3'. The protrusion 6 may be fixed to another member such as a wire by spot welding, or may be attached to the diffuser plate 4.
A protrusion may be formed integrally during press working.
In addition, if the positional relationship with the frame electrode 5 cannot be specified, a ring-shaped stepped part can be formed around the entire circumference.
Diffusion plate 4 can be attached at any position.

The fuel and air supplied into pot 1 are transferred to diffusion plate 4.
Vaporization, mixing, and primary combustion occur in the space below, resulting in a large amount of combustible gas that escapes upward from between the diffusion plate 4 and the side wall of the pot 1. At this time, since a large amount of air is supplied from the air hole 3', a blueish combustion flame is formed and combustion is carried out.

During normal combustion, the flame is formed almost horizontally from the air holes 3', and the combustible gas that escapes upward from the bottom of the diffusion plate 4 is guided by the tapered or rounded outer edge 4' and reaches the upper surface of the diffusion plate 4. The flame, which flows in the horizontal direction, is prevented from upward by the gas flow flowing from below to above the diffusion plate 4. Therefore, the flame electrode 5 located below the air hole 3' can touch the flame from below and cause a flame current to flow.

状態を検出することができる。
On the other hand, when there is a lack of air, the velocity of the flow blown from the air holes 3' is slow and the amount of oxygen supplied is small, so the force of the flame extending laterally is weak and the flame is directed upward, and the flame also becomes high. Therefore, the flame electrode 5, which was in contact with the flame during normal combustion, is no longer touched by the flame during abnormal combustion due to lack of air, so the flame current decreases, and an abnormal state can be detected.

By the way, in this invention, a protrusion 6 is formed on the upper surface of the diffuser plate 4 near the frame electrode 5, and the protrusion 6 is located approximately in front of the air hole 3' at the lowest stage, so that the protrusion 6 is formed on the upper surface of the diffuser plate 4 from below to above. The gas flow passing through the diffusion plate 4
The protrusions 6 cause turbulence when the fluid flows along the tapered outer edge of the fluid. On the other hand, the combustion flame formed from the air hole 3' at the lowest stage is directed towards this turbulent flow, and the leading edge of the combustion flame is suppressed by the turbulent flow. For this reason, a part of the flame swelled downward and easily reached the frame electrode 5, resulting in an increase in flame current.

また立炎時には空気孔3′から横に広がる燃焼

るものである。
In addition, when the flame is rising, the combustion flame that spreads laterally from the air hole 3' is directed upward, so there is almost no influence of the turbulent flow from the protrusion 6, and the flame current decreases as in the case without the protrusion 6.

As mentioned above, this invention has a protrusion on the top surface of the diffuser plate that is specified by the relationship between the flame electrode and the air hole in the side wall of the pot, and despite its simple structure, it is advantageous in normal combustion conditions. On the other hand, when there is a standing flame due to abnormal combustion, there is no increase in the flame current, and the flame current decreases as before.
As a result, the difference in flame current between normal combustion and abnormal combustion has become larger, making it possible to reliably detect abnormal combustion, and preventing malfunctions and the trouble of continuing abnormal combustion due to insufficient air volume. did it.
