[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Technical Field) The present invention is applicable to automotive vehicle panel moldings (the part 1 indicated by diagonal lines in Fig. 1) and wheel opening moldings (indicated by diagonal lines in Fig. 1). The present invention relates to a molding suitable for use in the above code 2), and more particularly to a molding whose surface is coated with soft polyvinyl chloride.

(Prior Art) Among automotive moldings, car panel moldings, wheel opening moldings, etc. have a structure in which a stainless steel plate is used as a core material and soft polyvinyl chloride is coated on the surface of the core material. Therefore, the surfaces of these moldings are made of soft polyvinyl chloride.
By the way, this soft polyvinyl chloride has poor water repellency. For this reason, in the conventional molding as described above, when muddy water is deposited on the surface of the molding during driving in rainy weather, the muddy water does not become water droplets on the surface of the molding, but spreads over the surface. Therefore, after drying, mud adheres to the entire surface of the molding, resulting in severe staining. Moreover, this mud cannot be easily removed even by washing the car.

(Purpose of the invention) This invention was made in view of the above points.
The purpose is to provide moldings that are less susceptible to mud.

(Structure of the invention) The present invention achieves this object by applying a urethane solution containing at least one of silicone resin and fluororesin to the surface of a molding whose surface is covered with soft polyvinyl chloride. It is characterized by:

Figure 2 A and B are the AA cross section of Figure 1, respectively.
This shows an example in the BB cross section, and 1 in the figure
1 and 21 are core materials made of stainless steel plates bent into a predetermined shape; 12 and 22 are soft polyvinyl chloride layers adhered to the core materials 11 and 21, respectively;
13 and 23 are respectively soft polyvinyl chloride layers 1
2 and 22 are coating layers made of urethane solution. The urethane constituting the coating layers 13 and 23 uses thermoplastic urethane with high adhesion to polyvinyl chloride as the main ingredient, and silicone resin oil (for example, dimethyl silicone) or fluororesin powder with good water repellency as an additive. is used. In addition, pigments, fillers, etc. are also included as necessary. Incidentally, these compounding ratios are not particularly strict, and there is no problem as long as they are included in the general concept of a main ingredient and an additive. Further, the application method may be a spray method, a brush method, or the like.

In the moldings 1 and 2 of the above embodiment, since the muddy water is repelled by the action of the coatings 13 and 23, the amount of muddy water itself adhering to the moldings 1 and 2 is also reduced, and naturally the amount of mud adhering after drying is will also decrease significantly.

The specific shape of the molding is not limited to that shown in FIG. 2, and the present invention can also be applied to moldings other than rocker panel molding and wheel opening molding. Furthermore, the coating layers 13 and 23 may be formed only on the portions visible from the outside of the vehicle body.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the present invention, muddy water on the molding surface is repelled due to its excellent water repellency, and the adhesion of mud to the molding surface can be significantly reduced. Therefore, the molding is less dirty and the car can be easily washed.
