レールカバー支柱3に支持されている。このレー
ルカバー4は、適当長さのカバー単位体を夫々前
記レールカバー支柱3に対して着脱自在に取り付
けて、長さ方向に連続したレールカバー4とする
ことが出来る。この場合は、搬送装置の任意の位
置で任意の長さにわたつてレールカバー4を取り
外すことが出来る。5は前記レールカバー支柱3
の側面に固定して架設した給電レールである。6
はラツクギヤであつて、前記給電レール5よりも
下方位置で当該給電レール5と同一側に於いて、
前記レールカバー支柱3の側部に横向きに固定さ
れている。

持されている。従つて前記ピニオンギヤ12、減
速伝動装置13、及び電動機14から成る駆動手
段18や車輪9、及び集電手段11等の電動走行
台車7側に装備されているものは、レールカバー
で覆われた空間19内に位置しており、固定側の
給電レール5やラツクギヤ6も前記空間19内に
位置している。尚、前記位置決め用垂直軸ローラ
ー10は前記空間19の直下に位置している。

レール上を転動する車輪等をも保護する。従つ
て、異物の噛み込みや油、水等の侵入、逆に台車
側内部で発生する粉塵の外部への飛散を防止する
ことが出来るのみならず、搬送経路に接近して作
業する作業者が車輪のギヤ等に噛み込まれること
も防止することが出来、安全性が大幅に向上す
る。
