In the case of the conventional spray type headlamp cleaner cleaning device as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 56-63538, the nozzle spray angle is 60° to 80°, and the spray pattern uses a full cone type or an empty cone type. As a result, the cleaning liquid sprayed onto the headlamp lens is dispersed before impacting the lens, and the cleaning liquid particles are further atomized by air resistance, causing mud and other particles to adhere to the headlamp lens surface and dry. Cleaning performance for caked-on dirt is extremely low because the jetting energy is low, and water is simply applied to the sludge adhering to the lens. For this reason, there was a drawback in that it created a condition in which mud and dust were more likely to adhere.

The present invention minimizes the phenomenon of atomization of cleaning liquid particles due to air resistance by making the spray pattern flat (fan-shaped), and improves cleaning performance by concentrating the energy of the cleaning liquid colliding with the headlamp lens. This is what we are trying to do. In other words, it has been known that the ability to remove mud adhering to a headlamp using a jet cleaning method is proportional to the impact energy per unit area of the headlamp lens of the cleaning liquid particles jetted against the lens surface. There is. Therefore, in the present invention, the jetting pattern of the nozzle for a headlamp cleaning device is changed from the conventional full cone type to a flat (fan-shaped) type, thereby concentrating the jetting energy.

FIG. 4 shows a pressure distribution diagram for the parameters shown in FIG. 4, and a cleaning liquid 5 sprayed from the nozzle 2 forming a fan-shaped spray pattern in the positional relationship shown in FIG. 6.
FIG. 4 shows the change in the cutting depth d, and FIG. 5 shows the change in the cutting angle α. Here, d at each α in FIG. 5 was measured at a predetermined value in order to keep the cross-sectional area A of the discharge portion shown in FIG. 2 constant. As is clear from FIGS. 4 and 5, the values of α=60° and d=0.5 mm show a uniform pressure distribution and a pattern with high injection force can be obtained.

With this structure, the cleaning liquid 5 passing through the cleaning liquid transport pipe 3 is injected from the nozzle 2 and collides with the headlamp 1. This cleaning liquid 5
is sprayed in a fan shape, and the cross-sectional area of the cleaning liquid 5 is smaller than that of a conical shape, etc., but if the injection angle with respect to the lens surface of the nozzle is set to a predetermined value, the cross-sectional area becomes larger, and the movement of the cleaning liquid is , the cleaning liquid 5a moves upward along the lens surface as shown in FIG.
The cleaning liquid 5b moves downward and spreads out, making it possible to obtain a wider cleaning area.

In the figure, the distance from the nozzle to the center of the headlamp lens is defined as θ, and the angle between the jet center line and the lens surface is defined as θ (Figure 7 is in Figure 2 above) L =
Figure 7 shows the change in cleanability when changing θ to 100 mm as 50°, 40°, 30°, 20°, and 10°. Here, the luminous intensity recovery rate η on the vertical axis indicates the ratio between the value at which the head lamp luminous intensity is reduced due to mud adhering to the head lamp and the luminous intensity of the head lamp after spray cleaning.

As is clear from Figure 9, the nozzle of the present invention has a fan-shaped spray pattern and uses a method that concentrates the spray energy, which is better than the method of diffusing the spray energy of the current product's full cone and empty cone spray patterns. The cleaning performance is much improved, and especially when the injection angle θ is around 30°, the cleaning performance is 5 to 6 times higher. In FIG. 9, the nozzle of this example shows the best light intensity recovery rate when the injection angle is 30 degrees, and it can be judged that the cleaning performance is high. In the future, even if the headlamp lens shape of vehicles is rectangular and the lens surface is flat, and the headlamp lens surface tends to be more inclined, the product of the present invention can be used as shown in the experimental results shown in Figure 9.
It is possible to obtain higher washability.

Therefore, according to this embodiment, in order to solve the problem of the low cleaning performance of current nozzles, the cleaning liquid sprayed from the nozzle is concentrated in a fan-shaped spray pattern and collides with the headlamp lens surface. Even with sludge that adheres to the vehicle during driving and is difficult to remove, cleaning performance is significantly improved, and the above problems are solved at once. In addition, since the nozzle is positioned below the headlamp (L = 100mm, θ = 40° or less as shown in Figure 8), there is no risk of interfering with the light projection of the headlamp, and more powerful cleaning than conventional spray cleaning methods is possible. becomes.
