In industrial vehicles such as forklifts, it is common to exhaust the cooling air that has passed through the radiator to the outside of the vehicle from the rear of the vehicle body, but in this case the noise from the engine and fan is directly emitted outside the vehicle along with the cooling air. In order to reduce this noise, it has been proposed to improve the silencing effect by changing the direction of the flow of cooling air, and Figures 7 and 8 show an example of the exhaust duct. This is what is shown.

As shown in the figure, the exhaust duct 6 arranged on the rear side of the radiator 5 is formed into an almost box-like shape with the front and top surfaces facing the radiator 5 open, and the bottom plate and rear plate of the exhaust duct 6 are used for cooling air. It has a curved shape to change the direction of flow. However, although such a box-shaped exhaust duct 6 is effective in reducing noise, it has a drawback in that it has a poor cooling air exhaust effect. That is, when the direction of the flow of cooling air pushed out by the fan 4 and passed through the radiator 5 is changed, turbulent flow occurs in the central part because the pressure in the central part of the exhaust duct 6 is lower than that on the wall side. This causes a lack of smooth flow, and sometimes the heated cooling air after passing through the radiator flows backwards at the center of the fan. As a result, the cooling effect deteriorates significantly and the engine overheats.

The purpose of this invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, and the gist is that in an exhaust duct that discharges cooling air by changing its flow direction, the duct is arranged at appropriate intervals in the vehicle width direction. A plurality of discharge passages are formed using a plurality of rectifying plates, and at least one of the discharge passages located in the center of the discharge passages is further divided into a plurality of passages using a curved rectifying plate for flow direction. The objective is to smoothly discharge cooling air.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically explained based on illustrated embodiments. In the figure, 1 is a forklift vehicle body with a counterweight 2 installed at the rear, and inside the vehicle body 1, an engine 3, a cooling fan 4, a radiator 5, and an exhaust duct 6 are installed in the above order from the front to the rear. are arranged in parallel. The exhaust duct 6 for changing the flow direction of the cooling air that has passed through the radiator 5 and discharging it outside the vehicle has an open front face facing the radiator 5 and an open upper face facing the upper opening 2a of the counterweight 2, and , the bottom plate and the rear plate are formed into a substantially box shape with curves to change the direction of flow.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the exhaust duct 6 is formed into three exhaust channels in the width direction (vehicle width direction) by two mutually parallel rectifier plates 7 disposed inside the exhaust duct. 8, and among the three discharge passages 8, the central discharge passage 8
is further divided into three small passages 10 by two curved baffle plates 9 arranged in the passage and capable of changing the flow direction upward.

In this embodiment, the cooling air discharge duct 6 is constructed as described above, and therefore the flow of cooling air in the duct is directed through each of the divided discharge passages 8 and each of the small passages 1.
0, an independent and smooth flow that does not affect each other is obtained, and turbulence and backflow are prevented, especially in the center of the duct where the air volume is small, which corresponds to the center of the fan, and the cooling air stays in the duct. It is ejected outside the vehicle.

Next, another embodiment of the present invention shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 will be described. In this embodiment, a sound absorbing material 11 is attached to the entire inner surface of the exhaust duct 6 and both sides of the rectifying plate 7 and the curved rectifying plate 9 for passage sections. In addition to effectively reducing noise, it can also absorb and attenuate noise such as engine noise and wind noise from fans and radiators.

Note that the number of passages in the discharge duct 6 is not limited to that shown in the illustrated example, and may be increased or decreased as necessary, taking into consideration the resistance caused by the settings of the rectifying plate 7 and the curved rectifying plate 9.

As described in detail above, the present invention is a discharge duct that changes the flow direction of the cooling air that has passed through the radiator and discharges it outside the vehicle. This suppresses the occurrence of turbulence and backflow inside the vehicle, which allows the cooling air to be smoothly discharged to the outside of the vehicle, improving the cooling effect.
