Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency and to obtain uniform finish by a threefold part being automatically sewed, by a method wherein both a part folded to the rear side of cloth and a part inserted between this folded part and the outside part of the cloth, are provided at the cloth hem, and hence the threefold part is formed; and both the outside part of the cloth and the inserted part are intermittently protruded to the inside of the threefold part, and a sewing thread is continuously passed through each of the above protruded parts. CONSTITUTION:When a cloth-folding plate 4 is lowered from a raised position, a folded part B and an inserted part C are formed at a cloth hem. After that, after a clamp 3 is shifted forward and the cloth-folding plate 4 is raised, a threefold part is formed when cloth A is shaken off to the side of the clamp 3 by an operator. When pushing plates 5 which are on standby at a retreated position, are shifted forward, and enter slits 12 of the clamp 3 facing them, an outside part A1 and the inserted part C are protruded into the inside of the threefold part every spaces between the slits 12. A long needle 6 wound on a drum 18 is drawn out by starting of a motor 17 and passed through between the folded part B and the inserted part C along the longitudinal direction from one end to the other end. After that, a sewing thread D is passed through the eye of the top end of the long needle 6 and the long needle 6 is rewound by the drum 18.

By the way, when making FW products using a sewing machine, the seams appear on the surface of the fabric and the seams are strongly tightened, but since machine stitching uses upper thread and bobbin thread, the finished product is stiffer and takes advantage of the characteristics of the fabric. The problem is that I can't.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the first invention includes a folded part on the edge of the fabric, a folded part to the back side, and a folded part located between the folded part and the outer part of the fabric. The three-fold part is pushed in from the outer part at predetermined intervals to make the outer part and the folded part of the fabric intermittently protrude inside the three-fold part, and the three-fold part is pushed in from the outer part at predetermined intervals. The outer portion and the folded portion are sewn together by passing a single thread passed through the inside along the length direction continuously through each of the protruding portions.

In addition, the second invention includes a dough mounting table, and a dough clamping portion disposed on the front part of the dough mounting table so as to be movable forward and backward with respect to the dough mounting table, and a dough holding portion and A clamp is provided with a concave portion located at the lower part of the clamping portion, and vertical slits are provided at predetermined intervals along the length. A fabric folding plate that presses the edge of the fabric placed on the clamp from the mounting table between the two to form a folded part and a folded part, and a fabric folding plate that can freely move forward and backward relative to the clamp at a position facing each slit at the front of the clamp. a push-in plate that is arranged so as to fit into the slit in the forward position; and a push-in plate that is located at one end of the clamp and capable of penetrating longitudinally within the recess of the clamp in the forward position. In the forward movement position, the pushing plate pushes the outer part of the fabric along the outer surface of the clamp and the folded part from each slit 2 into the recessed part of the clamp to protrude. The structure is such that the long needle continuously passes through this protruding portion.

With the edge of the fabric placed on the clamp from the fabric platform, the fabric folding plate descends and pushes the fabric between them to form a folded part and a folded part. The clamp moves forward and folds the fabric against the front of the fabric platform. Grasp the upper part of the folded part and the folded part, and when the dough folding plate rises and is pulled out from between the folded part and the folded part, turn the fabric on the dough table to the clamp side and let it hang along the outside of the clamp. As a result, the folded portion, the folded portion, and the outer portion form a three-turn portion.

In this state, the pushing plate moves forward and fits into the slit, so that the outer part of the fabric and the folded part are pushed into the recess of the clamp at each slit and protrude.
A sewing thread is threaded through this protruding portion continuously using a long needle, and the outside portion of the fabric is stitched so that the stitches are not exposed to the surface as much as possible.

In the above-mentioned three-wrap sewing, - the sewing thread of the main thread connects the outer part A1 and the folded part C from the inside of the three-wrap part to the slit 12.
Since the stitches are sewn at a pitch of , the seams only appear intermittently in dots on the surface of the outer part A (see Figures 10 and 11), and the seams that appear on the surface of the fabric A are extremely small. It is less noticeable and no seams appear on the back side of the three-fold part.

As described above, according to the present invention, the folded part and the outer part of the three-fold part formed on the edge of the fabric are made to protrude inside the three-fold part at a predetermined interval, and the sewing thread is passed through this protruding part continuously. Therefore, it is possible to automatically perform three-fold weaving in a manner that minimizes the appearance of seams on the surface of the fabric, thereby improving work efficiency and saving labor.
