Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatize the brightness adjustment of a CRT by providing a sensor sensing the external lightness, a sensor sensing the lightness of a CRT display section and a brightness control section applying the brightness adjustment of the CRT with an output signal from the sensors. CONSTITUTION:When the lightness at the outside of a CRT is changed, it is sensed by a sensor 3 and the lightness of a display section is changed through a brightness control section. The change is sensed by a sensor 4 to report it to a brightness control section 2, which compares the change reported from the sensor 3 with that from the sensor 4 and gives the discriminated signal to a CRT control section 1. The CRT control section 1 adjusts the brightness of the CRT and when the result of comparing the changes reported from the sensors 3, 4 tells no change, the adjustment of the brightness of the CRT is finished.
