ら間隔をあけた位置に設けられている。このよう
な熱印字ヘツドでは、感熱紙のロールを交換した
場合や、感熱紙の先端から印字する場合、上流側
から給送された感熱紙が発熱体の熱によつて印字
されて下流側へ送出されるときに、感熱紙の先端
が駆動回路の電子部品などに引掛つて巻込れるこ
とがある。この感熱紙の巻込みを防止するととも
に、駆動回路を保護するために、発熱体および発
熱体周辺部以外の駆動回路などを覆う保護カバー
を設けたものがあるが、この保護カバーの発熱体
側の端部と印字ヘツド面との間には隙間があり、
印字された感熱紙が円滑に給送されず、このため
この隙間を合成樹脂などで埋めたりしており、多
くの手間を要し、しかも確実に感熱紙を給送する
ことができなかつた。
