The present invention relates to a method for surface treatment of loop-shaped wire rods, in which the loop-shaped wire rods are placed horizontally and conveyed by a conveyor, and are subjected to treatments such as plating and pickling. A well-known method is to carry out surface treatments such as plating and pickling while conveying wire rods such as welding wire rods on a conveyor in a non-concentric polymerized ring state (loop shape). However, since loop-shaped wire rods have dense polymerized parts, the treatment liquid does not penetrate sufficiently into those parts.
The treatment reaction tends to not proceed or is delayed, resulting in insufficient treatment compared to other parts. As a result, there was a problem that uniform surface treatment could not be performed. For this reason, conventional methods include changing the speed of the conveyor and slightly shifting the positions of the rings of the wire when the wire is transferred from one conveyor to another, or circulating the processing liquid to adjust the reaction speed. The company is trying to spread the treatment liquid to the overlapping parts of the wires. However, in these methods, the overlapping parts at both ends of the wire are in almost the same position and the same part throughout the treatment, and the processing liquid does not sufficiently penetrate into the overlapping parts during treatments such as pickling, pre-plating treatment, and plating. , the treatment reaction tends to not progress or the treatment tends to be insufficient compared to the direction before and after the progress. In particular, scale remains during pickling, and defects such as imperfections and thinning occur during plating, making wire rods prone to rust.Furthermore, uneven plating causes uneven color tone, resulting in poor wire quality. deteriorate,
The die is rapidly worn during wire drawing, and the die is likely to become rough. Furthermore, in the past, the loop-shaped wire was processed while being conveyed by a chain conveyor, so the contact area between the loop-shaped wire and the chain conveyor remained the same during processing, and this contact area was compared to other areas. It has the disadvantage that it is difficult to treat. The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems in the method of conveying loop-shaped wire rods, eliminates uneven processing due to overlapping wire rods or contact between the wire rods and the conveyor, enables uniform surface treatment, and is easy to implement. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for surface treatment of a loop-shaped wire rod. Therefore, the surface treatment method of the present invention for achieving the above object is to carry out the treatment by immersing a looped wire rod horizontally in a treatment liquid while conveying it on a conveyor, and conveying the wire rod on a roller conveyor. Additionally, a jet stream is applied to the wire from below the roller gap of the roller conveyor. According to the present invention, since the loop-shaped wire rod is conveyed by a roller conveyor in the processing liquid, there is no contact between the loop-shaped wire rod and the conveyor between each roller, compared to the conventional method in which the same part of the wire rod comes into contact with the conveyor during processing. It is effective for uniform processing,
Furthermore, since the jet stream is applied to the loop-shaped wire rod conveyed from below between the rollers of the roller conveyor, each wire rod ring that passes through the jet section one after another floats above the conveyor, thereby loosening the overlapping parts of the rings and causing the processing liquid to flow. As well as permeating throughout the
The temporary lifting of the ring causes the overlapping portion to shift, which is advantageous for uniform processing. Examples of equipment for implementing the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. Although the illustrated example shows wire pickling equipment, it goes without saying that the present invention can be applied to plating, cooling treatment, etc. in addition to pickling. Figure 1 is a front sectional view of the pickling tank, Figure 2 is a plan view,
FIG. 3 is a right sectional view, and as shown, the pickling tank 1 is composed of an inner tank 1a and an outer tank 1b, and the inner tank 1a is filled with a desired pickling liquid 3.
A roller conveyor 2 for conveying the loop-shaped wire is disposed in the inner tank 1a of the plating tank 1, and the inlet and outlet sides of the roller conveyor 2 are connected to other conveyors. The loop-shaped wire w is conveyed in the pickling liquid 3 in the direction of the arrow by the conveyor 2 and is pickled. A jetting port 4' is disposed corresponding to each roller gap of the roller conveyor 2, and a jetting pipe 4 is provided below the conveyor 2 along the wire transport direction. The injection pipe 4 is connected via a pump 5 to a pipe 6 that connects the inner tank 1a and the outer tank 1b of the pickling tank 1. For this reason, the pickling solution 3 is
It flows from b to the injection pipe 4 via the pipe 6 by the pump 5, and is discharged from the injection port 4' toward the wire w, and also overflows from the inner tank 1a and flows down to the outer tank 1b for circulation. ing. When carrying out the pickling treatment by passing the loop-shaped wire w through the pickling liquid 3 in the pickling tank 1 while conveying it in the direction of the arrow by the conveying roller conveyor 2,
The pickling liquid is injected from the injection port 4' toward the wire rod through the piping 6 and the injection piping 4 by the pump 5.
Each wire ring passing through the injection port 4' is lifted upward from the conveyor surface by the jet flow from below, temporarily eliminating contact with the adjacent ring and allowing the pickling solution to permeate throughout. At the same time, by being temporarily lifted up, the parts overlap at a different position from the previous overlapped part, so that the parts that had insufficient contact with the pickling solution come into contact with a new pickling solution. Therefore, each wire ring is generally uniformly pickled throughout, and problems such as uneven pickling are eliminated. The roller pitch (roller spacing) of the roller conveyor for conveying the looped wire in the pickling inner tank 1a is suitably 1/3 to 1/5 of the wire loop diameter. That is, if the roller pitch is less than 1/5, the contact area between the wire and the conveyor becomes large and surface treatment cannot be carried out efficiently, and if it exceeds 1/3, the wire conveying ability tends to be poor. Example When a loop-shaped wire rod for welding was pickled using the equipment (apparatus) shown in FIG. 1 under the following pickling conditions, the pickling effect of the wire rod is shown in Table 1. For comparison, the same table also shows the case of the conventional method (where the wire rod is conveyed by a chain conveyor). [Pickling conditions] Wire to be pickled Loop-shaped steel wire for welding Diameter 2.4mmφ Loop diameter 800mmφ Conveyor speed 3.3m/min Roller diameter 80mm Roller pitch 200mm Immersing time 90sec Pickling liquid Hcl16~20%; 60℃ Amount of injection circulation liquid 800/min

[Table] As is clear from the above table, the treatment is incomplete in the conventional method, but the method of the present invention eliminates the uneven pickling treatment and is very effective in uniformly treating the wire rod. Recognize. In the above specific example, the injection port was provided along the center of the loop-shaped wire w to be transported, but the injection port is not limited to this, and the injection port may be provided at both ends of the loop-shaped wire to be transported. , loop-shaped wire w
In addition to providing an injection port approximately in the center of the wire ring in the direction of movement, it is also possible to apply a jet flow from below to both ends of the wire ring (densely overlapped areas), thereby making the treatment liquid even more effective. It is effective for the penetration of Furthermore, it is not necessary to provide injection ports for all of the roller gaps as shown in the drawings, and injection ports may be provided for each of several roller gaps. Furthermore, the roller conveyor is not limited to being arranged horizontally as shown in the figure, but may be inclined within a range that allows the wire to be conveyed. The jet stream is not limited to the jet of the processing liquid, and may be air jet as long as it is not harmful to the wire processing. As explained above, in the present invention, by conveying the wire with a roller conveyor and applying a jet flow to the wire from below, it is possible to shift the overlapping portion of the loop-shaped wire and measure the penetration of the pickling solution. Its industrial value is extremely great because it can reduce processing unevenness and greatly improve wire quality.
