Description

The present invention relates to a pot lid that is placed over a cooking pot.

2. Description of the Related Art Pot lids that are placed over cooking pots are known to have projections on the inner surface that allow condensed water to drip onto cooking ingredients.
For example, Patent Document 1 (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 57-94426) discloses a pot lid with concentric protrusions on its inner surface (see in particular Figures 1 and 2), Patent Document 2 (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 4-30984) discloses a pot lid with a plurality of protruding bands arranged intermittently on its inner surface, each of which has an inverted scalene triangular cross-sectional shape with an obtuse downward apex angle (see in particular lines 28-32 in the left column on page 2 and Figure 1), and Patent Document 3 (Utility Model Registration No. 3200806) discloses a pot lid with a number of protruding water droplet guide portions formed on its inner surface along three concentric circles (see in particular paragraphs 0034-0035 and Figures 1 and 3).

However, because the projections on the pot lid disclosed in Patent Document 1 are concentric, water droplets that form on the inner surface of the pot lid can be reliably guided to the inside of the pot, but if the pot lid is tilted even slightly, the water droplets gather in one direction along the concentric projections, causing the problem that the droplets end up dripping in a concentrated location. The multiple protruding bands disclosed in Patent Document 2 are only single-layered, while the numerous water droplet guide parts disclosed in Patent Document 3 are sparsely formed, causing the problem that some of the water droplets that form on the inner surface of the pot lid pass through the protruding bands and water droplet guide parts to reach the edge of the pot lid and do not drip to the inside of the pot.

Utility Model Registration No. 3200806

To solve the above problems, and the first object of the present invention is to reliably drip water droplets generated on the inner surface of a pot lid onto the inside of the pot, and to prevent the dripping position of the water droplets from being unevenly distributed even if the pot lid is tilted.
The second objective is to properly control the escape of steam generated during cooking and to equalize the airflow inside the pot, thereby enabling various ingredients to be cooked deliciously.

Each of the plurality of circular protrusions or the plurality of circumferential protrusions has 2 to 12 slits formed therein,
Among the slits formed in the plurality of circular protrusions or the plurality of circumferential protrusions, the slits formed in adjacent circular protrusions or adjacent circumferential protrusions are not aligned on radial lines extending from the center of the main body,
A hole is provided in the center of the body, a handle is formed on the upper surface of the body surrounding the periphery of the hole, and a small lid is provided to cover the upper surface of the handle,
The small lid is characterized by comprising a disk portion placed on the upper surface of the handle and a ring portion formed on the lower surface side of the disk portion and having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the handle .

The pot lid of the invention of claim 1 has a spiral protrusion on the inner surface of the main body, consisting of a plurality of circular protrusions surrounding the center of the main body or a plurality of orbital protrusions surrounding the center of the main body, and each of the plurality of circular protrusions or the plurality of orbital protrusions has two to twelve slits formed therein, thereby enabling water droplets formed on the inner surface of the pot lid to drip inside the pot, and preventing the water droplets from dripping unevenly even if the pot lid is tilted.
Furthermore, among the slits formed in the multiple circular protrusions or multiple peripheral protrusions, the slits formed in adjacent circular protrusions or adjacent peripheral protrusions are not aligned radially extending from the center of the main body, so that water droplets flowing down the inner surface of the main body toward the periphery almost never pass through the slits and reach the edge of the main body, and water droplets generated on the inner surface of the pot lid can be reliably dripped inside the pot. Also, uneven distribution of water droplets when the pot lid is tilted can be better suppressed.
Furthermore, a hole is provided in the center of the main body, a handle is formed on the top surface of the main body surrounding the hole, and a small lid is provided to cover the top surface of the handle, so that the scattering of escaping steam can be prevented without the use of an outer lid, and the cost of the pot lid can be kept low.
In addition, the small lid consists of a disk portion placed on the top surface of the handle and a circular ring portion formed on the underside of the disk portion and with an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the handle, so that the emitted steam does not splash around and the water droplets that accumulate inside the handle return to the pot through the holes, preventing the loss of broth.
In addition, the escape of steam generated during cooking is properly controlled, and the air flow inside the pot rises from the center and falls to the periphery, making it uniform. This allows a variety of ingredients to be cooked deliciously. In particular, when cooking rice, it produces a very good cooked rice.

The following describes the embodiment of the present invention using examples.

FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view and a plan view of the inner surface of a pot lid 1 according to the first embodiment, and FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view and a plan view of the inner surface of a small lid 2 according to the first embodiment.
As shown in Figures 1(A) and (B), the pot lid 1 of Example 1 has a main body 3 with a diameter of 15 to 30 cm and an arc-shaped cross-section, four circular protrusions 4 arranged concentrically on the inner surface of the main body 3 around the center, a hole 5 with a diameter of 2 to 5 mm arranged in the center of the main body 3, a roughly cylindrical handle 6 with a diameter of 5 to 10 cm and a height of 2 to 4 cm formed on the top surface of the main body 3 so as to surround the periphery of the hole 5, and a small lid 2 with a diameter of 6 to 11 cm that covers the top surface of the handle 6.
The four circular protrusions 4 are arranged at approximately equal intervals, with an innermost diameter of 4-8 cm and an outermost diameter of 14-28 cm, and each has a width of 3-6 mm and a height of 3-6 mm, with the width decreasing toward the lower surface. Furthermore, slits 7 are formed along lines extending in a cross shape from the center of the circular protrusions 4, dividing each into four arc-shaped parts.
2A and 2B, the small cover 2 according to Example 1 has a disk portion 8 having a diameter of 6 to 11 cm and a thickness of 6 to 15 mm, and an annular portion 9 having an outer diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the handle 6 and a height of 6 to 15 mm. Furthermore, on the lower surface side of the disk portion 8 and on the outside of the annular portion 9, two grooves 10 having a width of 2 to 5 mm and a depth of 1 to 3 mm are provided.
In addition, the main body 3 and small lid 2 in Example 1 are both made of porcelain or pottery produced by mixing clay with various powders, molding and firing the mixture, but the pot lid of the present invention is not limited to ceramics and may be made of various metal castings or molded glass or heat-resistant resin.

When using the pot lid 1 of Example 1, steam generated during cooking condenses on the inner surface of the main body 3 and turns into water droplets. When the water droplets reach a certain size, they move due to gravity to the periphery of the main body 3, where they collide with one of the four circular protrusions 4, travel along the side of the circular protrusion 4 they collide with, drip from the underside of the protrusion into the inside of the pot, and fall onto the ingredients being cooked.
Furthermore, even if the main body 3 of the pot lid 1 is tilted, for example, to the right in Figure 1 (B), the water droplets that hit the circular protrusion 4 on the left side will not cross the slit 7 formed along the line extending vertically and reach the circular protrusion 4 on the right side, so the dripping position of the water droplets will not be biased to the right.
In addition, since a hole 5 is provided in the center of the main body 3, when the cooking ingredients in the pot boil and the steam pressure increases, steam gushes out from the hole 5. However, since the upper surface of the handle 6 surrounding the hole 5 is covered with the small lid 2, the gushes out steam does not scatter around, and the water droplets that have accumulated inside the handle 6 return to the pot through the hole 5, so that loss of broth can be suppressed.
And, two shallow grooves 10 are provided on the outer lower surface of the small lid 2, so that the ejected steam can escape moderately through narrow gaps, the small lid 2 is kept in a stable state, abnormal noise due to vertical movement can be suppressed, and the position where the steam escapes is limited, so that it is safe.
Furthermore, the air current inside the pot rises from the center and moves evenly down to the periphery, allowing heat to be distributed evenly to the ingredients being cooked, allowing a variety of ingredients to be cooked deliciously.

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view and a plan view of the inner surface of a pot lid 11 according to a second embodiment.
The pot lid 11 of Example 2 differs from the pot lid 1 of Example 1 in that, whereas in Example 1, four circular protrusions 4 are provided concentrically on the inner surface of the main body 3, a spiral protrusion 14 consisting of a protrusion that rotates approximately four times around the center of the main body 13 is provided, and, whereas in Example 1, the slits 7 are formed along lines extending in a cross shape from the center, slits 17 are formed near positions shifted by 80 degrees from the inner end of the spiral protrusion 14.
In addition, in Figure 3, the components that are the same as those in Example 1 other than the pot lid 11, main body 13, spiral protrusion 14, and slit 17 are given numbers that are 10 larger than the numbers shown in Figure 1, and descriptions of these components are omitted.

When using the pot lid 11 of Example 2, in addition to the effects achieved when using the pot lid 1 of Example 1, the slits 17 formed in adjacent spiral protrusions 14 do not line up on radial lines extending from the center of the main body 13, so that water droplets flowing down the inner surface of the main body 13 toward the periphery almost never pass through the slits 17 and reach the edge of the main body.
As a result, water droplets that form on the inner surface of the main body 13 can be reliably dripped onto the inside of the pot, and even if the pot lid 11 is tilted, since the numerous slits 17 are arranged at random, the drip position of water droplets traveling down the spiral protrusions 14 can be prevented from becoming biased more than with the pot lid 1 of Example 1.

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view and a plan view of the inner surface of a pot lid 21 according to a third embodiment.
The pot lid 21 of Example 3 differs from the pot lid 1 of Example 1 in that, while the main body 3 in Example 1 has an arc-shaped cross-section, the main body 23 is flat; while four circular protrusions 4 are provided concentrically on the inner surface of the main body 3 in Example 1, eight circular protrusions 24, 24' are provided concentrically on the inner surface of the main body 23; while all of the circular protrusions 4 in Example 1 have the same height, the height of the innermost and outermost circular protrusions 24' is higher than the height of the other circular protrusions 24; and, while the slits 7 in Example 1 are formed along lines extending cross-shaped from the center, the slits 27 are formed along 16 lines extending radially from the center, so that they are not adjacent in the radial direction and do not cross the radial lines in the circumferential direction.
4, the components that are the same as those in Example 1 other than the pot lid 21, the main body 23, the circular protrusions 24, 24', and the slits 27 are given numbers in which 20 is added to the numbers shown in FIG. 1, and descriptions of these components are omitted.

The effect of the pot lid 21 of Example 3 is the same as the effect of the pot lid 1 of Example 1 and the effect of the pot lid 11 of Example 2, but since the main body 23 is flat, more circular protrusions 24, 24' are provided than in Example 1 to allow water droplets to drip efficiently.
In addition, the reason why the height of the innermost and outermost circular protrusions 24' is made higher than the height of the other circular protrusions 24 is that in order to make the main body 23 flat, the circular protrusions 24, 24' need to be placed in an oven with the bottom facing up and fired.
It is possible to make all the circular protrusions 24, 24' the same height, but in that case, unevenness will be formed on the bottom surfaces of all the circular protrusions 24, 24', which will result in a poor appearance.

Modifications of the first to third embodiments are listed below.
(1) In the description of Example 1, the range of dimensions of each component is indicated. However, the dimensions are not limited to the range of dimensions indicated in the description, as they are determined appropriately depending on the application.
(2) The main bodies 3, 13, and 23 in the first to third embodiments have a circular shape in plan view, but may have an elliptical or rounded polygonal shape. In such a case, it is better that the circular projections 4, 24, and 24' and the circumferential projections constituting the spiral projection 14 are also elliptical or rounded polygonal projections.
(3) In Example 1, the inner surface of the main body 3 is provided with four concentric circular protrusions 4 surrounding the center, the inner surface of the main body 13 in Example 2 is provided with a spiral protrusion 14 consisting of a protrusion that encircles the center of the main body 13 and makes just over four revolutions, and the inner surface of the main body 23 in Example 3 is provided with eight concentric circular protrusions 24, 24' surrounding the center of the main body 23, but the circular protrusions do not have to be concentric, and the number of circular protrusions and the number of revolutions of the protrusions can be selected as appropriate.
That is, the inner surface of the pot lid body may be provided with a plurality of circular protrusions surrounding the center, or a spiral protrusion consisting of a plurality of orbital protrusions surrounding the center.

(4) In Example 1, four slits 7 are formed in the circular protrusion 4, in Example 2, nine slits 17 per two revolutions are formed in the spiral protrusion 14, in Example 3, four slits 27 are formed in the two inner circular protrusions 24, 24', and eight slits 27 are formed in the six outer circular protrusions 24, 24', but the number of slits can be selected as appropriate.
However, if too many slits are formed, water droplets will be more likely to reach the edge of the pot lid, so it is sufficient for the multiple circular protrusions or multiple circumferential protrusions to have 2 to 24 slits each, and it is even better if the multiple circular protrusions or multiple circumferential protrusions have 3 to 12 slits each.
(5) In the spiral protrusion 14 of Example 2, slits 17 are formed near positions shifted by 80 degrees from the inner end, and in the circular protrusions 24, 24' of Example 3, slits 27 are formed along 16 lines extending radially from the center so that they are not adjacent in the radial direction and are not adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction and do not cross any radial lines. In short, it is sufficient that water droplets flowing down the inner surface of the main body 13 or 23 toward the periphery do not easily pass through the multiple slits 17 or 27, so it is sufficient that the slits formed in adjacent circular protrusions or adjacent circumferential protrusions are not lined up on radial lines extending from the center of the main body.

(6) In the first to third embodiments, a hole 5, 15, 25 is provided in the center of the main body 3, 13, 23, a roughly cylindrical handle 6, 16, 26 is formed on the upper surface, and a small lid 2, 12, 22 is provided to cover the upper surface of the handle 6, 16, 26, but these may be omitted.
Furthermore, as long as the handles 6, 16, 26 are formed to surround the holes 5, 15, 25, they may have any shape, such as an elliptical cylinder or a square cylinder, and in such a case, it is better to change the small lids 2, 12, 22 and the annular portion 9 to an appropriate shape.
(7) In Examples 1 to 3, a circular ring portion having an outer diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the handle 6, 16, 26 is formed on the underside of the small lid 2, 12, 22. However, the circular ring portion may be omitted, or a circular ring portion having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the handle 6, 16, 26 may be formed.
(8) In the first to third embodiments, the grooves 10 are provided at two locations on the outer side of the annular portion 9 on the underside of the small lids 2, 12, 22. However, these may be omitted, and one or three or more grooves may be provided.
