Claims (17)
- 光学アパーチャ増倍器であって、
第1の面及び第2の面を含む第1の平行面のペア、並びに第3の面及び第4の面を含む第2の平行面のペアを有する第1の光導波路であって、前記平行面のペアが、矩形断面を共に形成し、前記第1の光導波路が、前記平行面のペアにおける4重折り曲げ内部反射によって光を導波し、かつ前記第1の光導波路から外部へ、前記第1の光導波路に光学的に結合されている第2の光導波路中に、光を結合させる外部結合構成に関連付けられるように構成されており、前記第1の面又は前記第2の面が、それぞれ異なる光学特性を有する第1の領域及び第2の領域に細分化されている、第1の光導波路と、
前記第1の導波路中に光を透過させる表面を含む光内部結合構成であって、前記表面が、前記第2の領域に隣接する前記第3の面又は前記第4の面の一部と関連して展開され、その結果、前記表面に関連付けられた縁端部が、コリメートされた入力画像を第1の距離で切り落とし、かつ前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域との間の境界が、前記コリメートされた入力画像を第2の距離で切り落として、4重折り曲げ内部反射によって前記第1の光導波路を通って前進する、切り落とされたコリメートされた画像を生成する、光内部結合構成と、を備える、光学アパーチャ増倍器。 - 前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域との間の前記境界が、光学入力軸に沿って見られたときに、前記境界の画像と共に、眼に見える入力光学アパーチャを提示する、請求項1に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記コリメートされた入力画像の一部が、前記縁端部と交差するか、又は前記縁端部によって重複される前記第1の面上の点で反射される、請求項1に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記縁端部が、前記表面の第1の縁端部であり、前記表面が、前記コリメートされた入力画像を光学画像生成器から受け取る光入射表面と共通の縁端部である第2の縁端部を含む、請求項1に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記縁端部が、前記光入射表面に対して平行である、請求項4に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記縁端部が、前記光入射表面に対して非平行である、請求項4に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記表面が、前記コリメートされた入力画像を光学画像生成器から受け取り、前記縁端部が、前記表面の第1の縁端部であり、前記表面が、前記縁端部によって切り落とされるように、受け取った前記コリメートされた入力画像を前記表面に反射させて戻す反射表面と共通の縁端部である第2の縁端部を含む、請求項1に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記第2の光導波路を更に備えており、前記第2の光導波路が、第3の平行面のペアを有し、かつ前記第3の平行面のペアにおける内部反射によって光を導波するように構成されており、前記第2の光導波路が、前記第2の光導波路から外部へ光を結合させる、前記第3の平行面のペアの間にあり、かつ前記第3の平行面のペアに対して傾斜する、複数の部分反射表面を含む、請求項1に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- コーティング又は材料が、前記第1の面を前記第1の領域及び前記第2の領域に細分化するように、前記第2の面と関連して展開されている、請求項8に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 第5の面を含み、かつ前記第1の面において前記第1の光導波路に光学的に結合された光学基板を更に備えており、コーティング又は材料が、前記第1の面を前記第1の領域及び前記第2の領域に細分化するように、前記第1の面に関連付けられている、請求項8に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記光外部結合構成が、前記第1の光導波路を少なくとも部分的に横断し、かつ前記第1の光導波路の伸長方向に対して斜め方向に傾斜している複数の部分反射表面を含む、請求項1に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記光外部結合構成が、前記第2の面に関連付けられた部分反射表面を含む、請求項1に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 光学アパーチャ増倍器であって、
第1の面及び第2の面を含む第1の平行面のペア、並びに第3の面及び第4の面を含む第2の平行面のペアを有する第1の光導波路であって、前記平行面のペアが、矩形断面を共に形成しており、部分反射表面が、前記第2の面に関連付けられ、かつ前記第2の面に対して平行である、第1の光導波路と、
第3の平行面のペアを含む複数の面を有する第2の光導波路であって、前記第2の光導波路が、前記第2の面と、前記第2の光導波路の前記面のうちの1つとの間の境界面において、前記第1の光導波路に光学的に結合されており、光方向転換配置が、前記第2の光導波路の第1の領域に関連付けられ、かつ光外部結合構成が、前記第2の光導波路の第2の領域に関連付けられている、第2の光導波路と、を備え、
前記光結合、前記部分反射表面、前記光方向転換配置、及び前記光外部結合構成は、画像に対応する光が前記第1の光導波路中に結合されたときに、前記光が、前記第2の光導波路の前記第1の領域中に結合されるように、前記部分反射表面において透過された前記光の強度のある割合で、前記第1の光導波路に沿って4重折り曲げ内部反射によって前進し、前記光導波路の前記第2の領域中に方向転換されるように、前記光方向転換配置によって偏向された前記光の強度のある割合で、前記第3の平行面のペアにおける内部反射によって、前記第2の光導波路の前記第1の領域内で伝播し、前記光外部結合構成によって前記第2の光導波路から外部へ偏向された、前記第2の光導波路の前記第2の領域内で伝播する前記光の強度のある割合で、前記第3の平行面のペアにおける内部反射によって、前記第2の光導波路の前記第2の領域内で伝播するように構成されている、光学アパーチャ増倍器。 - 前記光外部結合構成が、前記第3の平行面のペアに対して傾斜する、前記第2の光導波路内に展開された複数の部分反射表面を含む、請求項13に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記光外部結合構成が、前記第3の平行面のペアの前記面のうちの少なくとも1つに関連付けられた回折光学素子を含む、請求項13に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
- 前記光方向転換配置が、追加面に対して傾斜する、前記第2の光導波路の前記第1の領域内に展開された複数の部分反射表面を含む、請求項13に記載の光学アパーチャ増倍器。
