Description
The present invention relates to an automatic warehouse, and more particularly to an automatic warehouse in which a plurality of shelves for storing luggage are provided, and a transport vehicle for transporting the luggage is arranged for each stage.
2. Description of the Related Art Automated warehouses (hereinafter referred to as "automated warehouses with individual transport vehicles") are known in which a plurality of transport vehicles for transporting goods are provided corresponding to each stage of a plurality of shelves for storing goods. Each transport vehicle travels in the extending direction of the shelves at the corresponding stage, and transfers the cargo between the transport vehicle and the shelf of the corresponding stage at a predetermined position in the shelf extension direction.
An automatic warehouse with a transport vehicle for each stage is provided with elevating devices on the warehousing side and the warehousing side (see Patent Document 1).
The lifting device includes a conveyor that can place and transport cargo, and a lifting device that lifts and lowers the conveyor. For example, when a package is carried from a storage station to a lifting device, the lifting device moves up and down a conveyor to a target stage, and carries the package to a shelf. Next, the transport vehicle picks up the luggage and then transfers it to a predetermined position on the shelf.
Conventionally, the number of items that can be placed on a lifting device is fixed. For example, the number of bags that can be placed on a conveyor is managed as the number of buffers, and if there are 2 buffers, two items can be placed regardless of the size of the bag. However, in this case, in the case of small packages, gaps were created between the packages, and the efficiency of conveying the packages was not good.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to improve the efficiency of transporting cargo by loading a large amount of cargo onto a lifting device in an automated warehouse.
A plurality of aspects will be described below as means for solving the problem. These aspects can be arbitrarily combined as necessary.
An automatic warehouse according to one aspect of the present invention includes shelves, a carrier, a warehousing station, a lifting device, and a controller.
The shelf consists of multiple levels.
The transport vehicle is arranged for each shelf stage and transports the cargo.
The lifting device raises and lowers the package between the storage station and the shelf.
The lifting device has a first conveyor. The first conveyor has a support surface that supports a plurality of packages, and is capable of carrying out only one package at the leading end on the support surface.
The controller grasps the amount of cargo that can be transported at one time by the lifting device based on size information of the cargo to be transported from the storage station or the shelf to the lifting device.
In this automated warehouse, by understanding the cargo that can be placed on the lifting device, it is possible to load many items onto the lifting device. As a result, the efficiency of transporting cargo is improved.
In this automated warehouse, since the first conveyor can carry out only the first piece of baggage, it is possible to distribute the baggage to each stage of the shelves as necessary.
Note that "package size information" is, for example, information on the width of the package (length in the transport direction), and information on the size of the package linked to the shelf where it can/is stored. The "baggage size information" includes the entire length of the baggage in the transport direction when the baggage is packed in the transport direction.
The controller is
Determining the baggage to be transported to the first conveyor based on the size information of the baggage to be transported from the storage station to the lifting device,
Next, a plurality of packages may be front-loaded onto the first conveyor.
In this automated warehouse, the cargo can be packed in advance on the first conveyor, so the efficiency of transporting the cargo is improved.
The receiving station may include a second conveyor having a support surface for supporting a plurality of packages.
The controller is
Determining the baggage to be transported to the first conveyor based on the size information of the baggage to be transported from the storage station to the lifting device,
Next, the second conveyor is loaded with multiple packages,
Next, the front packed packages may be carried together from the second conveyor to the first conveyor.
In this automated warehouse, when moving multiple packages from the warehousing station to the lifting device, the multiple packages transported to the warehousing station are handled as one package, allowing the multiple packages to be moved from the warehousing station to the lifting device. It can shorten the time required for
When the controller receives a shelf from a warehousing station, if there are consecutive packages with the same attribute at the warehousing station, the controller may transport the consecutive packages to the same shelf.
In this automated warehouse, successive packages can be sorted to the same shelf by a single transport, which improves the efficiency of transporting packages.
The baggage may include a first baggage and a second baggage whose length in the transport direction is shorter than the first baggage. The shelf may include a first shelf that can store the first package, and a second shelf that is dedicated to the second package and is located further away from the storage station than the first shelf.
In this automated warehouse, by transporting many second loads at once to a shelf farther away from the warehousing station, it is possible to reduce the waiting time of the transport vehicle at that shelf. During this time, the lifting platform transports the cargo to other shelves, thereby improving the warehousing efficiency of the automated warehouse as a whole.
In the automatic warehouse according to the present invention, a large amount of cargo can be loaded on the lifting device, and therefore the efficiency of transporting the cargo can be improved.

In this embodiment, the

As described above, the

(9) First Modified Example As a modified example of this embodiment, the size (for example, width) of the luggage W to be stored for each stage of the
In that case, if there are consecutive pieces of luggage W of different sizes on the

(11) Third Modification In this modification, the

2. Second Embodiment In the first embodiment, the conveyor that front-stuffs the luggage W is a conveyor of an elevating device, but the conveyor that front-stuffs the luggage W may be a conveyor of a warehousing station.
Such an example will be described as a second embodiment using FIG. 8. FIG. 8 is a schematic side view of the warehousing station and the warehousing lifting device of the second embodiment. Note that the basic configuration and basic operation of the second embodiment are the same as those of the first embodiment.

In step S16, the total width of the luggage W that has passed is calculated. The process then returns to step S13.

3. Common Items of the Embodiments The first and second embodiments have the following configurations and functions in common.
An automated warehouse (for example, the automated warehouse 100) includes shelves, a transport vehicle, a warehousing station, a lifting device, and a controller.
The shelf (for example, shelf 21) consists of multiple stages.
A transport vehicle (for example, transport vehicle 3) is arranged for each stage of the shelf and transports luggage (for example, luggage W).
The elevating device (for example, the warehousing elevating device 11) raises and lowers packages between the warehousing station (for example, the warehousing station 7) and the shelf.
The lifting device includes a first conveyor (eg, lifting platform conveyor 57). The first conveyor has a support surface (for example, the
The controller (for example, the controller 51) grasps the amount of cargo that can be transported at one time by the lifting device based on the size information of the cargo to be transported from the storage station or the shelf to the lifting device.
In this automated warehouse, by understanding the cargo that can be placed on the lifting device, it is possible to load many items onto the lifting device. As a result, cargo conveyance efficiency is improved.
In this automated warehouse, since the first conveyor can carry out only the first piece of baggage, it is possible to distribute the baggage to each stage of the shelves as necessary.
4. Other Embodiments Although a plurality of embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and various changes can be made without departing from the gist of the invention. In particular, the multiple embodiments and modifications described in this specification can be arbitrarily combined as necessary.
In the first and second embodiments, the structure and operation of the cargo being conveyed from the station conveyor of the warehousing station to the elevating platform conveyor of the warehousing elevating device have been explained. It can also be applied to the structure and operation of cargo conveyed to a lifting platform conveyor of a lifting device.
In the first and second embodiments, when the number of items that can be placed on the elevator conveyor at one time is determined, all of the items are placed on the elevator conveyor. However, in consideration of the priority order of loading and unloading, only some of the packages may be placed on the elevating platform conveyor first and the loading process may be performed.
In other variants, the load width sensor may not be provided. In that case, the stopper is positioned at the first position of the lifting platform or the storage station to pack the cargo in the front. The entire length in the transport direction when the luggage is packed in the transport direction is used as "package size information".
When the stopper is located on the lifting platform, a load detection sensor is provided on the upstream side of the lifting platform in the conveyance direction, and no load is placed downstream from that position in the conveyance direction.
When the stopper is located at the warehousing station, a load detection sensor is provided at the upstream side of the warehousing station in the transport direction, and the load up to the nearest load downstream from that position in the transport direction is placed on the lifting platform, or the sensor detects the load. Place all your belongings on the lifting platform.
In yet another variant, no stopper may be provided. In that case, the baggage is placed on the lift platform while measuring its length using the baggage width sensor.
The present invention can be widely applied to automated warehouses in which a plurality of shelves for storing cargo are provided and transport vehicles for transporting the cargo are arranged for each stage.
