Description
本願は、2018年1月30日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/623,894号「MICROSTRUCTURES FOR TRANSFORMING LIGHT HAVING LAMBERTIAN DISTRIBUTION INTO BATWING DISTRIBUTIONS」に優先権を依拠するものであり、そのすべての内容を本明細書に援用する。
Claims (7)
- ランバート光分布をバットウィング光分布に変換する光透過性基板であって、
複数のマイクロ構造を含む第1の表面と、
前記第1の表面と反対の前記基板の面上の第2の表面であって、前記複数のマイクロ構造がそれぞれ、70°~95°のルーフ角を有し前記第2の表面から離れる方向に延びたピラミッドの形状を有し、前記複数のマイクロ構造の少なくとも1つは、屈折率が1.5の材料で構成される、第2の表面と、
を備え、
光源からのランバート分布の光を前記第1の表面で受光するとともに、X軸およびY軸から±30°~±60°におけるピーク強度ならびに天頂における最小強度を有するバットウィング分布へと前記光を変換して前記第2の表面から出射するように構成された、光透過性基板。 - 各ピラミッドが、基部と、前記基部に接続され、前記ピラミッドの先端を含み、前記基部の側面と異なる角度で配設された側面を有する頂部とを有する、請求項1に記載の光透過性基板。
- 前記基部の前記側面が、前記第2の表面と平行な平面に対して55°の角度で配設され、前記頂部が、85°~90°のルーフ角を有する、請求項2に記載の光透過性基板。
- ランバート光分布をバットウィング光分布に変換する光透過性基板であって、
複数のマイクロ構造を含む第1の表面であって、前記複数のマイクロ構造がそれぞれ、ピラミッドの錐台および逆ピラミッドの形状の凹部の形状を有する、第1の表面と、
前記第1の表面と反対の前記基板の面上の第2の表面と、
を備え、
光源からのランバート分布の光を前記第1の表面で受光するとともに、X軸およびY軸から±30°~±60°におけるピーク強度ならびに天頂における最小強度を有するバットウィング分布へと前記光を変換して前記第2の表面から出射するように構成された、
光透過性基板。 - 少なくとも前記マイクロ構造が、屈折率が1.5の材料で構成され、前記錐台の側面が、前記第2の表面と平行な平面に対して55°の角度で配設され、前記逆ピラミッドが、85°~90°のルーフ角を有する、請求項4に記載の光透過性基板。
- 前記第2の表面が、平面状である、請求項1又は4に記載の光透過性基板。
- 前記第2の表面が、テクスチャを含む、請求項1又は4に記載の光透過性基板。
