Description
The present invention relates to an air electrode catalyst for an air secondary battery, a method for manufacturing the same, and an air secondary battery.
BACKGROUND ART In recent years, air batteries that use atmospheric oxygen as a positive electrode active material have been attracting attention because they have high energy density and are easy to make small and lightweight. Among such air batteries, zinc-air primary batteries have been put into practical use as power sources for hearing aids.
In addition, as a rechargeable air battery, research is being conducted on air secondary batteries that use Li, Zn, Al, Mg, etc. as negative electrode metals, and such air secondary batteries are similar to lithium ion secondary batteries. It is expected to be a new secondary battery that has the potential to exceed the energy density of
As a type of such an air secondary battery, an air-hydrogen secondary battery is known that uses an alkaline aqueous solution (alkaline electrolyte) as an electrolyte and hydrogen as a negative electrode active material (for example, see Patent Document 1). An air-hydrogen secondary battery as typified by Patent Document 1 uses a hydrogen storage alloy as a metal for the negative electrode, but the negative electrode active material in the air-hydrogen secondary battery is occluded and released by the above-mentioned hydrogen storage alloy. Since it is hydrogen, a dissolution precipitation reaction of the hydrogen storage alloy itself does not occur during chemical reactions during charging and discharging in the battery (hereinafter referred to as battery reactions). For this reason, the air-hydrogen secondary battery has the advantage that problems such as internal short circuits due to so-called dendrite growth in which the negative electrode metal precipitates in a dendritic shape and a decrease in battery capacity due to shape changes do not occur.
In an air secondary battery using an alkaline electrolyte, such as the above-mentioned air-hydrogen secondary battery, the following charging and discharging reactions occur at the positive electrode (hereinafter referred to as the air electrode).
Charging (oxygen generation reaction): 4OH - → O 2 + 2H 2 O + 4e - (I)
Discharge (oxygen reduction reaction): O 2 +2H 2 O+4e - → 4OH -... (II)
As shown in reaction formula (I), an air secondary battery generates oxygen at the air electrode during charging. This oxygen passes through the air gap inside the air electrode and is released into the atmosphere from the portion of the air electrode that is open to the atmosphere. On the other hand, during discharge, oxygen taken in from the atmosphere is reduced to produce water as shown in reaction formula (II).
By the way, in the above-described air secondary battery, the energy efficiency has not yet reached a sufficient value, and high output has not yet been sufficiently achieved. Therefore, in order to put air secondary batteries into practical use, further improvements in energy efficiency and higher output are required.
The main factor hindering the improvement of energy efficiency and high output as described above is the large overvoltage in the charge/discharge reaction of the air electrode.
As a measure to reduce the overvoltage in the charge/discharge reaction of the air electrode, attempts have been made to improve the air electrode catalyst included in the air electrode. For example, various noble metals, metal oxides, and metal complexes are being considered as air electrode catalysts. Among them, Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore type composite oxide has a "dual function" of oxygen reduction and oxygen generation, and can reduce overvoltage in both charging and discharging reactions, so it is used as an air electrode catalyst. considered to be particularly effective.
However, air secondary batteries employing Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore type composite oxide as an air electrode catalyst have not yet achieved sufficient performance for practical use. Therefore, in order to further improve the energy efficiency and increase the output of air secondary batteries, it is desired to develop a Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore type composite oxide with higher catalytic activity.
The present invention has been made based on the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to provide an air electrode catalyst for air secondary batteries that can reduce overvoltage in charge/discharge reactions, and a method for manufacturing the same. The object of the present invention is to provide an air secondary battery that includes an air electrode catalyst and has improved energy efficiency and high output.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a bismuth ruthenium composite oxide having a crystal structure mainly consisting of a Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure and a crystal structure similar thereto, wherein CuKα An air electrode catalyst for an air secondary battery, comprising a bismuth ruthenium composite oxide that has a diffraction peak within the range of 2θ = 17.0 to 17.4 degrees when measured by powder X-ray diffraction using radiation. is provided.

Further, according to the present invention, an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution is added to an acidic aqueous solution containing a metal salt of Bi and a metal salt of Ru to form a precursor containing a hydroxide or oxide of Bi and Ru. a heat treatment step of adding 50% by weight or more of an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution to the precursor and heat-treating the precursor containing sodium hydroxide at a temperature range of 400° C. to 600° C. in an air atmosphere; Provided is a method for producing an air electrode catalyst for an air secondary battery, comprising:
Furthermore, according to the present invention, the air electrode includes an electrode group including an air electrode and a negative electrode stacked on top of each other with a separator interposed therebetween, and a container housing the electrode group together with an alkaline electrolyte, and the air electrode has the above-mentioned An air secondary battery is provided that includes an air electrode catalyst for any air secondary battery.
Preferably, the negative electrode includes a hydrogen storage alloy.
The air electrode catalyst for air secondary batteries according to the present invention is a bismuth ruthenium composite oxide having a crystal structure mainly consisting of a Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure and a crystal structure similar to this, It is equipped with a bismuth ruthenium composite oxide that has a diffraction peak within the range of 2θ=17.0 to 17.4 degrees in powder X-ray diffraction measurement using CuKα rays. In the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide according to the present invention, the arrangement of Bi sites is disordered, thereby creating a spatial margin and making it easier to eliminate lattice oxygen. Therefore, the exchange of oxygen in the charge/discharge reaction is carried out smoothly, so the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide according to the present invention contributes to reducing overvoltage in the charge/discharge reaction. Therefore, an air secondary battery containing such bismuth ruthenium composite oxide as an air electrode catalyst has improved energy efficiency and high output. Therefore, according to the present invention, there is provided an air electrode catalyst for an air secondary battery that can reduce overvoltage in charge/discharge reactions, a method for manufacturing the same, and improvements in energy efficiency and high output that include this air electrode catalyst. It is possible to provide an air secondary battery that achieves this.
Hereinafter, an air-hydrogen secondary battery 2 (hereinafter referred to as battery 2) including an air electrode catalyst for an air secondary battery according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, the

Here, as the conductive material, a powder which is an aggregate of particles of graphite, carbon black, etc. can be used.

The hydrogen storage alloy constituting the hydrogen storage alloy particles is not particularly limited, but it is preferable to use, for example, a rare earth-Mg-Ni hydrogen storage alloy. The composition of this rare earth-Mg-Ni hydrogen storage alloy can be freely selected, but for example,
General formula: Ln 1-a Mg a Ni b-c-d Al c M d ...(III)
It is preferable to use one represented by:

Here, the hydrogen storage alloy particles are obtained, for example, as follows.
First, metal raw materials are measured and mixed to have a predetermined composition, and this mixture is melted in an inert gas atmosphere, for example, in a high-frequency induction melting furnace, and then cooled to form an ingot. The obtained ingot is homogenized by heating it to 900 to 1200° C. in an inert gas atmosphere and maintaining it at that temperature for 5 to 24 hours. Thereafter, the ingot is crushed and sieved to obtain a hydrogen storage alloy powder, which is an aggregate of hydrogen storage alloy particles having a desired particle size.
As the binder, for example, sodium polyacrylate, carboxymethyl cellulose, styrene-butadiene rubber, etc. are used.

The obtained negative electrode mixture paste is filled into a negative electrode base material, and then subjected to a drying treatment. After drying, the negative electrode base material to which the hydrogen storage alloy particles and the like have been attached is rolled to increase the amount of alloy per unit volume, and then cut to obtain the

The air electrode mixture includes an air electrode catalyst for an air secondary battery, a conductive material, and a binder.
Bismuth ruthenium composite oxide is used as an air electrode catalyst for air secondary batteries. Bismuth ruthenium composite oxide has the dual functions of oxygen generation and oxygen reduction, and a catalyst with such dual functions contributes to reducing battery overvoltage during both the charging and discharging processes. .
The bismuth ruthenium composite oxide of the present invention has a crystal structure mainly composed of a Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure and a crystal structure similar to this, and it has a crystal structure that is mainly composed of a
Here, the crystal structure of Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore type oxide is shown in FIG. FIG. 2 shows a structure in which a Ru--O network composed of RuO 6 octahedrons and a Bi--O' network are nested. This pyrochlore structure corresponds to a defect structure in which 2×2×2=8 fluorite lattices are stacked and one oxygen is removed. This fluorite-type unit cell has a large space surrounded by eight oxygen ions inside, so oxygen ions can move relatively easily. Furthermore, the mobility of oxygen ions tends to further increase due to structural strain and oxygen vacancies in O' atoms, and it is thought that this has a predominant effect on catalytic reactions involving the movement of lattice oxygen.
A feature of the Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure according to the present invention is that it gives a very weak diffraction intensity to the forbidden reflection index of 002 in powder X-ray diffraction measurement (XRD) at room temperature. Specifically, it has a diffraction peak within the range of 2θ=17.0 to 17.4 degrees in powder X-ray diffraction measurement using CuKα radiation.
Here, there are many bismuth ruthenium composite oxides with different compositions and crystal structures. This means that in the database collected by the International Center for Diffraction Data (ICDD) (hereinafter referred to as the ICDD database), there are many structures with different amounts of Bi and O defects, lattice constants, and peak intensity ratios. This is clear from what has been reported. Single oxides become unstable if they have abnormal valences or oxygen defects, but composite oxides have a stable phase because the charge is compensated for by the valences or unsteady ratios of other elements. This is because In a normal pyrochlore structure, the reflection of plane index 002 interferes with the reflection of plane index 004 and is canceled out, so that it disappears (vanishing law). Even in the ICDD database, no diffraction peak is reported for Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 with a surface index of 002.
As described above, there are many types of conventional bismuth ruthenium composite oxides with different structures, but among them, a bismuth ruthenium composite oxide in which a diffraction peak exists at a plane index of 002 is not known. As described above, the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide according to the present invention, which has a diffraction peak within the range of 2θ = 17.0 to 17.4 degrees in powder X-ray diffraction measurement using CuKα radiation, is different from the conventional bismuth It can be said that it has a unique structure compared to ruthenium composite oxide. The reason why the diffraction peak of plane index 002, which should originally disappear due to the extinction law, appears is because the crystal structure is disturbed and forbidden reflection occurs.
Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore type oxide with the above-mentioned unique structure has a spatial margin due to the disordered arrangement of Bi sites, which makes it easier to eliminate lattice oxygen and facilitates rapid redox. It is considered possible. Therefore, the exchange of oxygen in the charge/discharge reaction is carried out smoothly, so the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide according to the present invention contributes to reducing overvoltage in the charge/discharge reaction.
Here, for Cd 2 Os 2 O 7 , which has a pyrochlore structure similar to Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 , there is a case in which forbidden reflection with a surface index of 00L (L=2+4n) was observed in single crystal X-ray diffraction measurements. (For example, see Junichi Yamaura, Kenya Okushi, Zenji Hiroi, Journal of the Crystallographic Society of Japan 55, 116 (2013)). The cause of the induction of such forbidden reflection is presumed to be magnetic reflection due to a unique magnetic structure caused by a shift in the symmetry of the electron distribution or spin frustration. It is considered that forbidden reflection may occur in the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide according to the present invention due to the same cause.
Further, the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide according to the present invention preferably has a structure in which the lattice constant of the Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure is 10.25 Å or more and 10.30 Å or less. A bismuth ruthenium composite oxide having a lattice constant within the range described above has the above-described unique structure and contributes to reducing overvoltage in charge/discharge reactions.

A bismuth ruthenium composite oxide in which the average crystallite size of the Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure is within the above-mentioned range has the above-mentioned unique structure and contributes to reducing overvoltage in charge/discharge reactions.
Next, the method for producing bismuth ruthenium composite oxide according to the present invention will be specifically explained below.
First, Bi(NO 3 ) 3.5H 2 O and RuCl 3.3H 2 O were put into a dilute nitric acid aqueous solution to the same concentration, and stirred to form Bi(NO 3 ) 3.5H 2 O and RuCl. A mixed aqueous solution of 3.3H 2 O is prepared. At this time, the temperature of the mixed aqueous solution is 60°C or higher and 90°C or lower. Then, a NaOH aqueous solution of 1 mol/L or more and 3 mol/L or less is added to this mixed aqueous solution to form a precipitate. The bath temperature at this time is maintained at 60°C or higher and 90°C or lower. After the precipitate has settled, the mixed aqueous solution is stirred while maintaining the pH of the mixed solution at 11 and performing oxygen bubbling. This stirring operation is carried out for 24 hours. Thereafter, the stirring operation is stopped and the mixed aqueous solution is allowed to stand for 24 hours. Thereafter, the precipitate deposited at the bottom of the mixed aqueous solution is collected by suction filtration. This precipitate is a precursor containing hydroxides or oxides of Bi and Ru. Next, the precursor containing water is maintained at a temperature of 80° C. or higher and 100° C. or lower to evaporate a portion of the water and form a paste. The obtained paste is transferred to an evaporating dish, heated to 100° C. or higher and 150° C. or lower, and kept in that state for 2 hours or more and 10 hours or less to dry, thereby obtaining a dried precursor. This dried material is then ground into powder using a mortar and pestle. After that, a 1 mol/L NaOH aqueous solution is added to the powdered precursor, and then dried by holding at a temperature of 100° C. or higher and 130° C. or lower for 2 to 5 hours. Here, the NaOH aqueous solution is added in an amount of 50% by weight or more to the powdered precursor described above.
Next, heat treatment is performed by heating the precursor containing NaOH to a temperature of 400° C. or more and 600° C. or less in an air atmosphere and holding it for 0.5 hours or more and 24 hours or less. After being subjected to the heat treatment, the precursor is washed with distilled water at a temperature of 60° C. or more and 90° C. or less, and then subjected to a drying treatment. As a result, bismuth ruthenium composite oxide (Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 ) is obtained.
Next, it is preferable to immerse the obtained bismuth ruthenium composite oxide in an aqueous nitric acid solution to perform an acid treatment. Specifically, it is as follows.
First, prepare a nitric acid aqueous solution. Here, the concentration of the nitric acid aqueous solution is preferably 5 mol/L or less. The amount of the nitric acid aqueous solution is preferably 20 mL per 1 g of bismuth ruthenium composite oxide. The temperature of the nitric acid aqueous solution is preferably set to 20°C or higher and 25°C or lower.
Then, the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide is immersed in the prepared nitric acid aqueous solution and stirred for 6 hours or less. After a predetermined period of time has elapsed, the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide is suction filtered from the nitric acid aqueous solution. The filtered bismuth ruthenium composite oxide is poured into distilled water set at a temperature of 60° C. or higher and 80° C. or lower for washing.
The washed bismuth ruthenium composite oxide is dried by being held in an environment of 100° C. or higher and 130° C. or lower for 1 hour or more and 4 hours or less.
In the manner described above, a bismuth ruthenium composite oxide subjected to acid treatment is obtained. By performing acid treatment in this manner, byproducts generated during the manufacturing process of bismuth ruthenium composite oxide can be removed. Note that the acidic aqueous solution used in the acid treatment is not limited to the nitric acid aqueous solution, and in addition to the nitric acid aqueous solution, a hydrochloric acid aqueous solution and a sulfuric acid aqueous solution can be used. These aqueous hydrochloric acid solutions and aqueous sulfuric acid solutions also provide the same effect as the nitric acid aqueous solution in that by-products can be removed.
The bismuth ruthenium composite oxide obtained as described above is mechanically pulverized as necessary to adjust the particle size to a predetermined size. As a result, a powder of bismuth ruthenium composite oxide, which is an aggregate of particles having a predetermined particle size, is obtained.
The method for producing bismuth ruthenium composite oxide described above is characterized in that the precursor of bismuth ruthenium composite oxide is heat treated with an excessive amount of NaOH. It is believed that this heat treatment forms a bismuth ruthenium composite oxide having the above-described unique structure. It is believed that the excessive amount of NaOH induces the transition to Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 at a lower temperature than normal.
Next, the conductive material will be explained. This electrically conductive material is used to lower internal resistance in order to increase the output of air secondary batteries, and as a carrier for the above-mentioned catalyst. As such a conductive material, for example, it is preferable to use nickel powder, which is an aggregate of nickel particles. As the above-mentioned nickel particles, it is preferable to use particles having an average particle size of 0.1 μm to 10 μm, for example. Here, in the present invention, when referring to the average particle size, unless otherwise specified, the particle size of the powder, which is an aggregate of target particles, is measured on a volume basis using a laser diffraction/scattering particle size distribution measuring device. It refers to the volume average particle diameter obtained by measuring the diameter distribution.
The above-mentioned nickel powder is preferably contained in an air electrode mixture in an amount of 60% by mass or more. The upper limit of the content of this nickel powder is preferably 80% by mass or less in view of the relationship with other constituent materials in the air electrode mixture.
The binder functions to bind the constituent materials of the air electrode mixture and to provide appropriate water repellency to the
The
First, a catalyst powder that is an aggregate of bismuth ruthenium composite oxide particles, a conductive material powder that is an aggregate of Ni particles as a conductive material, a binder, and water are prepared. Then, these catalyst powder, conductive material powder, binder, and water are kneaded to prepare an air electrode mixture paste.
The obtained air electrode mixture paste is formed into a sheet by, for example, roller pressing, thereby obtaining an air electrode mixture sheet. Thereafter, the air electrode mixture sheet is press-bonded to the nickel mesh (air electrode base material). This provides an intermediate product for the air electrode.
Next, the obtained intermediate product is put into a firing furnace and subjected to firing treatment. This firing process is performed in an inert gas atmosphere. As this inert gas, for example, nitrogen gas or argon gas is used. The conditions for the firing treatment include heating to a temperature of 300° C. or more and 400° C. or less, and holding this state for 10 minutes or more and 20 minutes or less. Thereafter, the intermediate product is naturally cooled in a firing furnace, and when the temperature of the intermediate product becomes 150° C. or lower, it is taken out into the atmosphere. As a result, an intermediate product that has been subjected to firing treatment is obtained. The
The
The formed
The container main body 6 has a box shape having a
Furthermore, an
The
In the

A
As the
Here, in the

Note that 2 L of dilute nitric acid aqueous solution was prepared. Then, a 2 mol/L NaOH aqueous solution was gradually added to the obtained mixed aqueous solution to form a precipitate. The bath temperature at this time was 75°C. After the precipitate was formed, the mixed aqueous solution was stirred while oxygen bubbling was performed for 24 hours while the pH of the mixed aqueous solution was maintained at 11. Thereafter, stirring of the mixed aqueous solution was stopped and the mixture was allowed to stand for 24 hours. The precipitate produced by this operation was collected by suction filtration. After the heat treatment was completed, the precursor was washed with distilled water at 75°C, filtered under suction, and dried at 120°C for 3 hours. As a result, approximately 12 g of bismuth ruthenium composite oxide (air electrode catalyst) was obtained.
As a result of observing a secondary electron image of the obtained bismuth ruthenium composite oxide powder using a scanning electron microscope, the particle size of the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide was 0.1 μm or less.

Here, the concentration of the nitric acid aqueous solution was 5 mol/L.
After the stirring was completed, the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide powder was taken out from the nitric acid aqueous solution by suction filtration. The bismuth ruthenium composite oxide powder taken out was washed with 1 liter of distilled water heated to 75°C. After washing, the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide powder was dried by holding it in an atmosphere at 120° C. for 3 hours.
As described above, an acid-treated bismuth ruthenium composite oxide powder, that is, an air electrode catalyst (Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 catalyst) for air secondary batteries was obtained.
(3) Discussion From the XRD profiles shown in Figures 3 to 9, almost all peaks for the Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 catalysts of Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Example 1 correspond to ICDD card number 01-073-9239. It can be confirmed that Bi 1.87 belongs to Ru 2 O 6.903 . However, it can be confirmed that in Examples 1 and 2, there is an irregular peak that does not belong to 01-073-9239 at 2θ=17.1 degrees. This irregular peak is shifted corresponding to the peak position of Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 , so it is not a peak of a byproduct that could not be removed by the acid treatment, but a peak derived from Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 . This is considered to be the peak. Specifically, the value of the lattice spacing (d value) in the plane index 004 is 2.58159, and the plane index 002 has a d value twice that. Since the plane index 002 corresponds to 2θ=17.16 degrees, it is considered that the irregular peak described above is likely to be a forbidden reflection of the plane index 002. In the normal Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure, the reflection with the plane index 002 interferes with the reflection with the plane index 004 and is canceled out, so that it disappears and no peak is observed. However, in Examples 1 and 2, a peak appears at the surface index 002 portion, which should not be observed, so this peak is considered to be a forbidden reflection. It is considered that the bismuth ruthenium composite oxides of Examples 1 and 2, in which forbidden reflection occurs in this way, have a unique structure compared to ordinary bismuth ruthenium composite oxides. The reason for the formation of such a unique structure is thought to be that the precursor of the bismuth ruthenium composite oxide was heat-treated with excess sodium hydroxide.
In Comparative Example 1, a second stage heat treatment was performed at a higher temperature (700° C.) than in Example 1. In Comparative Example 1, no transition to Bi 2 O 3 , which is a more stable phase at high temperatures, was observed, but the forbidden reflection as in Examples 1 and 2 disappeared. This is thought to be due to the effect of annealing, which caused the disorder in the crystal structure to disappear and change to a normal pyrochlore structure.
Next, from Table 1, Example 1 had the smallest crystallite size, and Example 2 and Comparative Example 1 were equivalent. The lattice constants of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 were the same, and those of Example 2 were smaller than these.
Further, from the discharge characteristic curves in Table 3 and FIG. 10, it can be seen that the discharge intermediate voltage increases in the order of Comparative Example 1<Example 2<Example 1.
One of the reasons why Example 1 has better discharge characteristics than Example 2 is that Example 1 has a smaller crystallite size and smaller particle diameter (higher specific surface area) than Example 2. . On the other hand, Comparative Example 1 has a discharge characteristic inferior to Examples 1 and 2 despite having a crystallite size comparable to that of Example 2. From this, it can be seen that the Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 pyrochlore structure in which the forbidden reflection with a plane index of 002 appears has better catalytic activity than the normal pyrochlore structure.
The reason why the activity of the catalyst according to the present invention is high is that the disordered arrangement of Bi sites creates a spatial margin, making it easier to eliminate lattice oxygen, which enables rapid oxidation-reduction. This is thought to be a factor. Therefore, it is expected that a crystal structure in which forbidden reflection occurs will have a high catalytic activity, regardless of the lattice constant that changes depending on the composition of the catalyst or the amount of oxygen vacancies. In fact, although Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 have the same lattice constant, Example 1 shows superior catalytic activity. In experiments conducted by the present inventors, the lattice constant varied from 10.25 to 10.30 Å by changing the composition ratio of the starting materials and firing conditions, but forbidden reflection with a surface index of 002 was observed in all cases.
It is expected that the primary particle size of the catalyst will change depending on the synthesis method. In particular, the primary particle size of the catalyst changes depending on the synthesis conditions of the precursor, but it is expected that the larger the particle size, the higher the temperature at which the phase transition to Bi 2 Ru 2 O 7 occurs. As a result, it is assumed that the disorder in the arrangement of Bi sites is alleviated, and the structure changes to a normal pyrochlore structure as in Comparative Example 1. On the other hand, when synthesizing small particles of several nanometers, the effect of surface energy becomes noticeable, so there is no guarantee that a similar crystal structure will be created. Therefore, it is considered that the grain size from which the crystal structure of the present invention can be obtained is preferably about 5 nm to 100 nm.
Further, from the results in Table 1, the relative integrated intensity of the
The relative integrated intensity of the
From Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Example 1, the lattice constant and charge/discharge overvoltage are not proportional. Simply put, the larger the amount of oxygen atoms missing, the smaller the lattice constant becomes, so it is thought that the size of the amount of defects is not a direct cause of the charge/discharge overvoltage difference. Although the details are unknown, it is possible that the disordered arrangement of the Bi sites creates a spatial margin, making it easier to eliminate lattice oxygen, thereby enabling rapid oxidation-reduction.
Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments and examples described above.
