Description
前記セラミックス円筒体の内壁部に電気的に結合した内側電極と、
前記セラミックス円筒体の外壁部に電気的に結合した外側電極を備え、
前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に延びる同一の軸線上に配置された複数の第1リブを含むように前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に直線的に延びる直線部が、前記セラミックス円筒体において放射状に配列され、
前記内側電極及び前記外側電極は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間で少なくとも前記直線部を介して放射状に電流が流れるように設けられる。

排気ガスが流れる流路と、
上記いずれかの加熱装置と、
前記流路における排気ガスの流れ方向において前記加熱装置よりも下流側に設けられる排気ガス浄化装置と、
前記加熱装置に含まれる前記セラミックス円筒体の前記セルが提供する第1流路と前記セラミックス円筒体の前記セルにより囲まれた筒穴が提供する第2流路の間で前記排気ガスの流路を切り替える切り替え部を備える。
セラミックス円筒体の径方向に沿って延びる一対の第1リブと、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に交差するように延びる一対の第2リブにより画定された複数のセルが設けられた導電性のセラミックス円筒体を押出成形に基づいて製造する工程と、
前記セラミックス円筒体に対して内側電極を固定する工程と、
前記セラミックス円筒体に対して外側電極を固定する工程を含み、
前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に延びる同一の軸線上に配置された複数の第1リブを含むように前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に直線的に延びる直線部が、前記セラミックス円筒体において放射状に配列され、
前記内側電極及び前記外側電極は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間で少なくとも前記直線部を介して放射状に電流が流れるように設けられる。

ここで、Qは、熱量(J)を意味し、Vは、電圧(V)を意味し、Rは、抵抗(Ω)を意味し、tは、時間(秒)を意味する。
1つの直線部13に流れる電流は一定であり、従って、直線部13の抵抗(R)の増加に応じて発熱量が大きくなる。直線部13の幅の減少により直線部13の抵抗が増加し、発熱量が高くなる。
外径70mm、内径50mm、軸方向長46mmのセラミックス円筒体に内側電極と外側電極を固定した。セラミックス円筒体は、多孔質Si結合SiC製である。内側電極と外側電極は、各々、筒状電極であり、ステンレス製である。セラミックス円筒体におけるセルの配置は、図14に示したとおりである。ソフトウェアを用いてシミュレーションした。シミュレーション条件としては、内側電極と外側電極の間のセラミックス円筒体に1秒間に亘り電圧45Vを印加した。
図15に示すように、外径100mm、軸方向長46mmのセラミックス円柱体100に第1外周電極101と第2外周電極102を固定した。第1外周電極101と第2外周電極102は、セラミックス円柱体100を挟むように位置付けられる。セラミックス円柱体は、多孔質Si結合SiC製である。内側電極と外側電極は、各々、弧状電極であり、ステンレス製である。セラミックス円柱体におけるセルの配置は、図15に示したとおりである。ソフトウェアを用いてシミュレーションした。シミュレーション条件としては、内側電極と外側電極の間のセラミックス円筒体に1秒間に亘り電圧45Vを印加した。

Claims (19)
- セラミックス円筒体の径方向に沿って延びる一対の第1リブと、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に交差するように延びる一対の第2リブにより画定された複数のセルが設けられた導電性のセラミックス円筒体と、
前記セラミックス円筒体の内壁部に電気的に結合した内側電極と、
前記セラミックス円筒体の外壁部に電気的に結合した外側電極を備え、
前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に延びる同一の軸線上に配置された複数の第1リブを含むように前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に直線的に延びる直線部が、前記セラミックス円筒体において放射状に配列され、
前記内側電極及び前記外側電極は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間で少なくとも前記直線部を介して放射状に電流が流れるように設けられ、
前記直線部は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間を直線状に延びる電流路を提供する、加熱装置。 - 前記直線部の幅は、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に沿って一定である、請求項1に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記直線部は、360°の角度範囲内において所定角度間隔で設けられる、請求項1又は2に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記所定角度間隔は、1°~5°の範囲内である、請求項3に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記内側電極及び/又は前記外側電極は、筒状電極である、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記筒状電極は、前記セラミックス円筒体の前記内壁部の内壁面の全域に亘って形成され、又は、前記セラミックス円筒体の前記外壁部の外壁面の全域に亘って形成される、請求項5に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記筒状電極にはその周方向に沿って配置された溝が設けられる、請求項5又は6に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体の内径をR1とし、前記セラミックス円筒体の外径をR2とするとき、
0.3<(R1/R2)
を満足する、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。 - 前記セラミックス円筒体の内径をR1とし、前記セラミックス円筒体の外径をR2とするとき、
0.6<(R1/R2)
を満足する、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。 - 前記第1リブ及び第2リブそれぞれの厚みが、0.05~0.5mmの範囲内である、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記第2リブの幅は、前記セラミックス円筒体に関する径方向内側から径方向外側に向けて漸減する、請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向において隣接する前記第2リブに関して、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向外側に位置する前記第2リブの幅は、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向内側に位置する前記第2リブの幅とは異なる、請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 前記セルの少なくとも1つ又は各角部にはR面が形成される、請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置。
- 排気ガスが流れる流路と、
請求項1乃至13のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置と、
前記流路における排気ガスの流れ方向において前記加熱装置よりも下流側に設けられる排気ガス浄化装置と、
前記加熱装置に含まれる前記セラミックス円筒体の前記セルが提供する第1流路と前記セラミックス円筒体の前記セルにより囲まれた筒穴が提供する第2流路の間で前記排気ガスの流路を切り替える切り替え部を備える、システム。 - セラミックス円筒体の径方向に沿って延びる一対の第1リブと、前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に交差するように延びる一対の第2リブにより画定された複数のセルが設けられた導電性のセラミックス円筒体を押出成形に基づいて製造する工程と、
前記セラミックス円筒体に対して内側電極を固定する工程と、
前記セラミックス円筒体に対して外側電極を固定する工程を含み、
前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に延びる同一の軸線上に配置された複数の第1リブを含むように前記セラミックス円筒体の径方向に直線的に延びる直線部が、前記セラミックス円筒体において放射状に配列され、
前記内側電極及び前記外側電極は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間で少なくとも前記直線部を介して放射状に電流が流れるように設けられ、
前記直線部は、前記内側電極と前記外側電極の間を直線状に延びる電流路を提供する、加熱装置の製造方法。 - 前記セラミックス円筒体に対して内側電極を固定する工程は、前記セラミックス円筒体に対して前記内側電極を冷やし嵌め又は圧入する工程を含む、請求項15に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体に対して外側電極を固定する工程は、前記セラミックス円筒体に対して前記外側電極を焼き嵌めする工程を含む、請求項15又は16に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体と前記内側電極の間には中間層が設けられる、請求項15乃至17のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックス円筒体と前記外側電極の間には中間層が設けられる、請求項15乃至18のいずれか一項に記載の加熱装置の製造方法。
