Description

The present invention relates to a backing paper for wallpaper, which is suitably used for wallpaper manufactured by a calendar method such as olefin wallpaper.

Wallpaper is used by sticking it on the wall for a long period of time for the interior of a room in a general house, a hotel, a hospital, or the like. The wallpaper is composed of a decorative layer and a backing paper for holding the decorative layer, and there are vinyl chloride wallpaper, olefin wallpaper, textile wallpaper, paper wallpaper, inorganic wallpaper and the like depending on the material of the decorative layer.

Vinyl chloride wallpaper is commercialized by applying vinyl paste to the surface of the backing paper, gelling the coated material, and then printing, foaming, embossing, and the like. Vinyl chloride wallpaper is widely used because it is cheaper than woven wallpaper, but there are protrusions on the surface of the vinyl chloride resin layer caused by the fluffing of the pulp fibers of the backing paper, and printing defects (printing defects) are formed in this part. There is a problem that white spots occur. In particular, in recent years, due to the speeding up of the vinyl paste processing process, a larger shearing force has been applied to the backing paper surface, and the force to raise pulp fibers has increased. It is becoming more likely to occur. In order to solve such a problem, the strength of the backing paper is improved by increasing the amount of the water-soluble polymer applied to the surface of the backing paper. In addition, since vinyl chloride contains a plasticizer, the demand for wallpaper that does not use vinyl chloride has increased in recent years from the viewpoint of suitability as a housing material and environmental protection at the time of disposal and incineration, and foamed vinyl chloride. An olefin wallpaper using polyolefin has been proposed (Patent Document 1).

Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2011-179161

However, when the backing paper used for the conventional vinyl chloride wallpaper is used for the olefin wallpaper, in the so-called calendar method of manufacturing the wallpaper, a resin film coated with an unfoamed resin containing an olefin resin or the like is bonded to the backing paper. There is a problem that the adhesion between the backing paper and the resin film is significantly inferior, and the backing paper and the resin film are easily peeled off.

The subject of the present invention is excellent adhesion to a resin film coated with an unfoamed resin and an unexpanded resin layer, and particularly stable and good adhesion in a state of being used for wallpaper manufactured by a calendar method such as olefin wallpaper. The purpose is to provide a backing paper for wallpaper that expresses.

The present invention is a backing paper for wallpaper having a base paper containing at least pulp and a filler and a water-soluble polymer present on at least one surface of the base paper, and the filler is 8 mass in the base paper. The backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention has excellent adhesion to a resin film coated with an unexpanded resin and an unexpanded resin layer, and in particular, an olefin produced by a calendar method in which a foamed resin layer is laminated via a resin film. It exhibits stable and good adhesion when used for wallpaper, etc., and has excellent peeling suitability when peeling wallpaper from the wall surface.

The wallpaper backing paper of the present invention is a wallpaper backing paper having at least a base paper containing pulp and a filler and a water-soluble polymer present on at least one surface of the base paper, and the filler is contained in the base paper. It is contained in the range of 8% by mass to 15% by mass, and the water-soluble polymer is present in the base paper in the range of 0.05 g / m 2 to 0.2 g / m 2 per side. Such a backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention can be used as wallpaper in a state where foamed resin layers are laminated via a resin film, or can be used as wallpaper in a state where foamed resin layers are laminated. ..

<パルプ>
<Pulp>
The base paper constituting the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention is bleached kraft pulp of coniferous tree (NBKP), bleached kraft pulp of broadleaf tree (LBKP), crushed wood pulp (GP), thermomechanical pulp (TMP), chemithermomechanical pulp ( This is a paper made by using a pulp slurry mainly composed of various pulps derived from wood fibers such as CTMP) and mixed alone or at an arbitrary mixing ratio. Various pulps derived from non-wood fibers obtained from kenaf, bamboo, hemp, etc. and deinked pulp (DIP) can also be used as long as the dimensional stability is not deteriorated.
In addition to the above-mentioned wood fiber-derived pulp, polyester resin fibers such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyolefin resin fibers such as polypropylene and polyethylene, polyamide resin fibers such as nylon, and halogen-containing resin fibers such as polyvinyl chloride can be used. Pulp derived from synthetic fiber may be blended.

In the present invention, it is preferable to adjust the Canadian standard drainage (CSF) of the pulp used to 450 ml to 550 ml. The CSF of the pulp can be adjusted by beating at least one of the above pulps. When two or more types of pulp are used, the pulps beaten separately may be mixed and adjusted so that the CSF is within the above range, and the pulps of two or more types are mixed and beaten. , CSF may be adjusted to be within the above range. If the CSF of the pulp is less than 450 ml, when the water-based glue is used on the base paper side of the wallpaper, not only the elongation of the wallpaper will be large, but also the shrinkage during drying will be large, and the wallpaper pasted next to each other will have a large elongation. There is a tendency for the opening (gap) to increase. Further, since the interfiber bond is strengthened, the strength in the layer is increased, and the peelability when peeling the wallpaper from the wall surface may be lowered. On the other hand, if the CSF of the pulp is larger than 550 ml, the paper strength becomes insufficient, so that paper breakage tends to occur at the time of coating vinyl paste or the like, and fluffing tends to occur on the base paper.

<填料>
<Filling fee>
As the filler contained in the base paper constituting the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention, at least one selected from the fillers used in general papermaking can be used.
Such fillers include, for example, kaolin, calcined kaolin, delaminated kaolin, clay, calcined clay, delaminated clay, erite, heavy calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate-silica complex, magnesium carbonate. , Inorganic fillers such as barium carbonate, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, silicon oxide, amorphous silica, aluminum hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, zinc hydroxide, urea-formalin resin, polystyrene resin, phenol resin, etc. Calcium carbonate and the like can be mentioned.

Such a filler can be mixed with the above-mentioned pulp slurry to make a paper, and the content of the filler in the base paper is 8% by mass to 15% by mass, preferably 8% by mass to 12% by mass in terms of solid content. It is a range. If the filler contained in the base paper is less than 8% by mass, the adhesion between the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention and the resin film having a foamed resin layer becomes insufficient. On the other hand, if it exceeds 15% by mass, the adhesion between the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention and the resin film having a foamed resin layer becomes too strong, and the peelability when peeling the wallpaper from the wall surface is inferior, which is not preferable.

<Water-soluble polymer>
The water-soluble polymer present on at least one surface of the base paper constituting the wallpaper backing paper of the present invention enhances the surface strength of the wallpaper backing paper.
Such a water-soluble polymer is obtained by at least coating or impregnating a coating liquid containing the water-soluble polymer on the surface to which the resin film coated with the non-foaming resin is bonded or the surface on which the non-foaming resin layer is formed. Can be granted by.

The amount of the water-soluble polymer coated is in the range of 0.05 g / m 2 to 0.2 g / m 2 in terms of solid content per surface, preferably in the range of 0.05 g / m 2 to 0.1 g / m 2 . .. If the coating amount is less than 0.05 g / m 2 per side, the adhesion between the backing paper for wallpaper and the resin film having a foamed resin layer becomes too strong, and the peelability when peeling the wallpaper from the wall surface is inferior. .. In addition, the surface strength of the backing paper for wallpaper becomes insufficient, the fibers on the surface of the base paper become fluffy when the unfoamed resin is applied, and the fluffy part becomes protruding on the wallpaper surface after gelation of the coating liquid, resulting in poor printing. It causes. On the other hand, if the coating amount exceeds 0.2 g / m 2 per side, the adhesion to the resin film coated with the unfoamed resin, particularly the adhesion to the polyolefin resin film is insufficient, which is not preferable.

Examples of the water-soluble polymer include various starches such as oxidized starch, enzyme-modified starch, cationized starch, urea phosphate esterified starch, and hydroxyethyl etherified starch, polyvinyl alcohol, carboxy-modified polyvinyl alcohol, and amide-modified polyvinyl alcohol. Various polyvinyl alcohols such as sulfonic acid-modified polyvinyl alcohol and butyral-modified polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylamide, carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, casein and the like can be used alone or in combination of two or more.
Among the water-soluble polymers, polyvinyl alcohol and starch are particularly suitable because they have a great effect of suppressing fluffing of fibers on the surface of the backing paper for wallpaper.

Further, a higher degree of saponification of polyvinyl alcohol is preferable from the viewpoint of operability such as foaming. Therefore, in the present invention, it is preferable to use polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of 90 or more. Further, when the degree of polymerization of polyvinyl alcohol is low, the effect of suppressing fluffing is small, and when it is high, the viscosity of the coating liquid tends to increase and the coatability tends to decrease. Therefore, in the present invention, the degree of polymerization of polyvinyl alcohol is preferably 1000 to 2000.

<Size agent>
The wallpaper lining paper of the present invention may be internally and / or externally attached with a sizing agent in the same manner as ordinary paper. As the sizing agent, in the case of acidic papermaking, a rosin-based sizing agent, a rosin emulsion-based sizing agent, α-carboxymethyl saturated fatty acid and the like can be added internally. In the case of neutral papermaking, a rosin-based sizing agent for neutral papermaking, an alkyl ketene dimer (AKD), alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA), a cationic polymer-based sizing agent and the like can be added internally. It is also possible to use the above-mentioned various sizing agents in the external coating or impregnation using a size press or the like.

The amount of the sizing agent added is not particularly limited, but it is preferable to use the backing paper for wallpaper so that the degree of nice human size is 10 seconds or more.

<Other internal / external components>
Further, in the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention, a fixing agent, a dry paper strength agent, a wet paper strength agent, a sulfate band, a yield improver, a dye, etc. shall be used as internal chemicals within a range that does not affect the quality. Can be done. Further, dyes, pigments (clay, kaolin, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, silica, etc.) and the like can be used as external chemicals to be coated or impregnated using a size press or the like.

The backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention can be appropriately produced by a known paper machine, and the paper making conditions thereof are not particularly limited. As the paper machine, a long net paper machine, a twin wire paper machine, a circular net paper machine and the like can be used. Further, the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention may have one layer or may be composed of two or more layers.

The basis weight of the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention is preferably 40 g / m 2 or more and 120 g / m 2 or less. If the basis weight is less than 40 g / m 2 , the strength is low and paper breakage is likely to occur during processing. Further, if the basis weight exceeds 120 g / m 2 , it may become too hard when processed into wallpaper, which may make construction difficult.

The in-layer strength of the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention is preferably adjusted to the range of 30 to 40 N / m. In general printing paper and paper such as paperboard, high in-layer strength is required, but in the wallpaper backing paper of the present invention, when the wallpaper is peeled off at the time of reforming, it is easy in the backing paper layer. It is preferable to adjust the strength in the layer to a certain range so that it can be peeled off. When the strength in the layer of the backing paper exceeds 40 N / m, not only a strong force is required to peel off the wallpaper at the time of remodeling, but also a part of the backing paper remains on the wallpaper side and a part on the wall side when peeled off. Since the wall surface is uneven, it becomes difficult to neatly attach the wallpaper to be attached next, and problems such as deterioration of peel suitability may occur. Further, if the in-layer strength of the backing paper is less than 30 N / m, there may be a problem that a portion other than the inside of the layer is torn off when the backing paper is peeled off, and the wall surface is also uneven.

Such a backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention is brought into contact with the adhesive surface of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film having an adhesive surface, and the longitudinal direction of the seal bar is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the film as described below. After heat-bonding under the conditions and cooling to room temperature, the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film and the backing paper for wallpaper are peeled off under the following conditions, and the components derived from the backing paper adhered to the surface of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film ( When the area ratio is measured by image analysis of (mainly pulp fiber) under the following conditions, the area ratio is preferably in the range of 35% to 80%, and more preferably in the range of 45% to 80%. preferable. When the above area ratio is less than 35%, the backing paper and the resin film tend to be easily peeled off when the olefin wallpaper is produced by the calendar method, and in particular, when the area ratio is less than 15%, The adhesion between the backing paper and the resin film may be insufficient. Further, if the area ratio exceeds 80%, the peelability when peeling the wallpaper from the wall surface may decrease. As the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film having an adhesive surface, EVAL (registered trademark) HF-ME manufactured by Kuraray Co. , Ltd. can be used.

The adhesion between the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film is the adhesion between the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention and the polyolefin resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, etc. when manufacturing the wallpaper by the calender method. It is an index of adhesion to an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film coated with an unfoamed resin containing the above as a resin component. That is, the backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention exhibits excellent adhesion to the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film by exhibiting the above-mentioned area ratio in the range of 35% to 80%. This means that the adhesion to an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film coated with an unfoamed resin containing a polyolefin resin, a polyvinyl chloride resin or the like as a resin component is excellent.

When an unexpanded resin containing a polyolefin resin, a polyvinyl chloride resin, or the like as a resin component is coated on the wallpaper backing paper of the present invention to form an unexpanded resin layer, the resin and the pulp fiber are used. Since the degree of entanglement is high, good adhesion can be obtained.

In such a backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention, a resin film coated with a non-foaming resin is attached to the surface of a base paper on the side where a water-soluble polymer is present, or a resin film coated with a non-foaming resin is coated and unfoamed. A resin layer may be provided, and then a foaming treatment such as heating may be performed to foam the unfoamed resin to form a foamed resin layer, and if necessary, printing or embossing may be performed to obtain a wallpaper. can.

The resin components contained in the unfoamed resin include ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin (EVA), ethylene-methylmethacrylate (EMMA), ethylene-ethyl acrylate (EEA), and ethylene-methyl acrylate (EMA). Polymer resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer resin, acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer resin, polyamide resin, polyacetal resin, acrylic resin, polycarbonate resin, polyester resin, polyacetic acid Vinyl-based resin and the like can be mentioned. In the present invention, ethylene copolymer resins such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin (EVA), ethylene-methylmethacrylate (EMMA), ethylene-ethyl acrylate (EEA), and ethylene-methyl acrylate (EMA) are preferable, and ethylene is preferable. -Vinyl acetate copolymer resin is more preferable.

As the non-foaming resin, a resin composition containing one or more of the above-mentioned various resin components, a pyrolytic foaming agent, an inorganic filler, a foaming aid (zinc compound, etc.) and a cell adjusting agent is used. Can be suitably used. Further, stabilizers, lubricants and the like can be used as additives.

When the resin film coated with the unfoamed resin is attached to the backing paper for wallpaper, or when the resin film is formed on the backing paper for wallpaper and the unfoamed resin is applied on the resin film, the resin film is formed. It is preferable to appropriately select the resin to be used from the above-mentioned various resin components.

For example, a resin film can be formed in advance using the above-mentioned various resin components, an unexpanded resin can be applied onto the resin film, and the resin film can be attached to a backing paper for wallpaper. Further, the above-mentioned various resin components may be applied and laminated on the backing paper for wallpaper to form a resin film, and the unfoamed resin may be applied on the resin film.

Further, when the above-mentioned various resin components are applied and laminated on the foamed resin layer to form a resin film, the resin film functions as a protective layer of the foamed resin layer. In this case, an unexpanded resin may be applied on the backing paper for wallpaper to form an unexpanded resin layer, and a resin film may be formed on the unexpanded resin layer. An unexpanded resin layer may be formed by bonding to a backing paper for wallpaper, and a resin film may be formed on the unexpanded resin layer. The unfoamed resin layer may be subjected to a foaming treatment such as heating to form a foamed resin layer on which a resin film functioning as a protective layer may be formed, or a resin film functioning as a protective layer may be formed on the unfoamed resin layer. The foamed resin layer may be formed by subjecting it to a foaming treatment such as heating after forming the resin film, but the unfoamed resin layer is subjected to a foaming treatment such as heating to form a foamed resin layer and a resin film that functions as a protective layer on the foamed resin layer. It is preferable to form.

The backing paper for wallpaper of the present invention exhibits excellent adhesion to a resin film coated with a non-foaming resin and a coating layer of a non-foaming resin. Therefore, when the foamed resin layer is laminated or the foamed resin layer is laminated via the resin film to form an olefin wallpaper or the like, stable and good adhesion is exhibited, and further, when the wallpaper is peeled off from the wall surface. Excellent peel suitability. The wallpaper backing paper of the present invention can be suitably used as a wallpaper backing paper manufactured by a calendar method such as an olefin wallpaper, but can also be used as a backing paper for other wallpapers.

A resin film using a polyolefin resin and an unfoamed resin are laminated in this order on the wallpaper backing paper of Examples 1 to 6, which is the wallpaper backing paper of the present invention, and then foamed by heating. When the olefin wallpaper was produced, it was confirmed that the adhesion between the backing paper and the resin film was good, and that the peel suitability when peeling the wallpaper from the wall surface was excellent.

In particular, the wallpaper backing papers of Examples 1 to 5 having an area ratio in the range of 35% to 80% have a good balance between the adhesion between the backing paper and the resin film and the peelability, and are calendars for olefin wallpaper and the like.
