Description
赤外光を発するLEDと、
前記LEDからの光の一部を透過するカットフィルタとを備える赤外線ランプであって、
点灯開始段階において前記LEDから発せられる光のピーク波長が、前記カットフィルタのカットオン波長よりも短い側にあり、かつ、定常点灯段階における前記LEDから発せられる光のピーク波長よりも短い側にあることを特徴とする赤外線ランプが提供される。
点灯開始段階における前記LEDから発せられる光のピーク波長が900nm以上950nm以下であり、
前記カットフィルタの前記カットオン波長は、前記ピーク波長に対して0nm以上30nm以下だけ長い。
本発明が適用された赤外線ランプ100について、図面を用いて説明する。図1は、本実施形態に係る赤外線ランプ100を示す図である。
次に、上述した本実施形態に係る赤外線ランプ100を発光させたときの作用について説明する。図示しない給電装置からLED110に給電すると、LED110は赤外光を含む所定の発光スペクトルの光を放射する。この光の一部は、直接、リフレクタ130の開口134に配設されたカットフィルタ120の入光面122に入り、残部は、リフレクタ130の反射面132で反射した後、同じくカットフィルタ120の入光面122に入る。
上述した本実施形態の赤外線ランプ100によれば、点灯開始段階においてLED110から発せられる光のピーク波長が、カットフィルタ120のカットオン波長よりも短い側にあるので、定常点灯状態に入って「ピーク波長のシフト」が生じてからも比較的短い波長側にピーク波長があるLED110を使用することができる。これにより、点灯中の赤外線ランプ100が赤く見えるのを回避できるとともに、LED110としては、比較的短い波長側(つまり、可視光に近い近赤外線側)にピーク波長がある発光効率の良いものを使用することができる。また、赤外線カメラYとしても、より可視光領域に近い赤外光で最大性能を発揮できる、一般的な赤外線カメラを使用することができる。
上述した実施形態では、LED110から放射された光を反射させるリフレクタ130を使用していたが、このリフレクタ130に変えて、例えば、図6に示すように、レンズ140を使用してもよい。この場合、レンズ140である程度集光されたLED110からの光をカットフィルタ120の入光面122に入光させることになる。

- 赤外光を発するLEDと、
前記LEDからの光の一部を透過するカットフィルタとを備える赤外線ランプであって、
前記カットフィルタのカットオン波長は、点灯開始段階における前記LEDから発せられる光のピーク波長よりも長い側にあり、かつ、定常点灯段階における前記LEDから発せられる光のピーク波長よりも短い側にあることを特徴とする赤外線ランプ。 - 点灯開始段階における前記LEDから発せられる光のピーク波長が900nm以上950nm以下であり、
前記カットフィルタの前記カットオン波長は、前記ピーク波長に対して0nm以上30nm以下だけ長いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の赤外線ランプ。
