Description
The present invention relates to a connecting film, a method for manufacturing a shield-printed wiring board, and a shield-printed wiring board.
Conventionally, an electromagnetic wave shielding film has been attached to a printed wiring board such as a flexible printed wiring board (FPC) to shield electromagnetic waves from the outside.
As such a shield-printed wiring board, for example, one having the following configuration has been proposed.
FIG. 16 is a cross-sectional view schematically showing an example of a conventional shield-printed wiring board.
That is, as shown in FIG. 16, the
When the adhesive layer of the shield film contains a conductive filler, the relative permittivity of the entire adhesive layer becomes high.
Therefore, when the adhesive layer containing such a conductive filler is arranged near the printed circuit, there is a problem that the transmission loss of the signal transmitted through the printed circuit becomes large.
In particular, in recent years, as the signal transmission speed has been improved, the frequency of the electric signal transmitted to the print circuit has been increased, so that such a problem has become remarkable.
In order to solve such a problem, in Patent Document 3, the conductive filler is contained only in the portion of the adhesive layer of the shield film that is arranged in the opening of the coverlay located directly above the ground circuit. Printed wiring boards have been proposed.
A printed wiring board as disclosed in Patent Document 3 can solve the above-mentioned problems such as deterioration of transmission characteristics, but the position of the opening of the coverlay and the adhesive layer containing the conductive filler. It is necessary to determine the position of the in advance, which limits the degree of freedom in design.
In addition, when actually manufacturing a product using a shield-printed wiring board, there are various design restrictions, and the position of the opening of the coverlay and the position of the adhesive layer containing the conductive filler are in advance. It was not realistic to decide.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is only between the ground circuit of the substrate film and the shield layer of the shield film when manufacturing the shield printed wiring board. It is an object of the present invention to provide a connecting film for arranging a conductive filler, a method for manufacturing a shield-printed wiring board using the connecting film, and a shield-printed wiring board using the connecting film.
The connecting film of the present invention includes a base film, a printed circuit including a ground circuit arranged on the base film, and a substrate film made of a coverlay covering the printed circuit, an insulating adhesive layer, and the above-mentioned insulation. A shield print comprising a shield layer laminated on the sex adhesive layer and an insulating protective layer laminated on the shield layer, and the insulating adhesive layer is adhered to the coverlay. A connecting film for electrically connecting the ground circuit and the shield layer in the wiring board. The connecting film is composed of a resin composition and a conductive filler, and the connecting film is composed of a resin composition and a conductive filler. It has a flat portion and a convex portion formed by the conductive filler, and the diameter of the conductive filler is larger than the thickness of the flat portion.
The connecting film of the present invention will be used when a shield film is adhered to a substrate film to manufacture a shield printed wiring board.
At this time, first, the connecting film of the present invention is arranged above the ground circuit of the substrate film. After that, the shield film is arranged so that the insulating adhesive layer of the shield film adheres to the coverlay of the base film and the connecting film, and a base film-shield film laminate is produced.
Then, the substrate film-shield film laminate is pressed so that the conductive filler of the connecting film comes into contact with the ground circuit of the substrate film and the shield layer of the shield film.
By manufacturing the shield-printed wiring board in this way, the conductive filler can be easily arranged only between the ground circuit of the substrate film and the shield layer of the shield film.
By arranging the conductive filler only between the ground circuit of the substrate film and the shield layer of the shield film, it is possible to prevent the transmission characteristics from being deteriorated in the manufactured shield-printed wiring board.
Further, in the method for manufacturing a shielded printed wiring board described above, the connecting film can be arranged at an arbitrary position above the ground circuit. Therefore, the degree of freedom in designing the shield-printed wiring board and the degree of freedom in designing the product using the shield-printed wiring board are not easily impaired.
In the connecting film of the present invention, the diameter of the conductive filler is larger than the thickness of the flat portion.
Therefore, the conductive filler is not buried in the resin composition.
When the conductive filler is embedded in the resin composition, it becomes difficult for the conductive filler to come into contact with the ground circuit of the base film and the shield layer of the shield film when the shield printed wiring board is manufactured. Therefore, the ground circuit and the shield layer are easily disconnected electrically.
However, as described above, in the connecting film of the present invention, the conductive filler is not embedded in the resin composition. Therefore, in the shield-printed wiring board using the connection film of the present invention, the ground circuit and the shield layer are not easily cut off electrically.
In the connecting film of the present invention, it is desirable that the height of the convex portion is larger than the thickness of the insulating adhesive layer of the shield film in the printed wiring board on which the connecting film is arranged. ..
When the height of the convex portion of the connecting film is larger than the thickness of the insulating adhesive layer of the printed wiring board on which the connecting film is to be arranged, the base film, the connecting film and the shield film are arranged in this order. When pressed, the conductive filler easily penetrates the insulating adhesive layer. Therefore, the conductive filler and the shield layer can be sufficiently electrically connected.
In the connecting film of the present invention, the thickness of the flat portion is preferably 1 to 100 μm.
If the thickness of the flat portion is less than 1 μm, the strength of the connecting film is weakened and it is easily damaged.
If the thickness of the flat portion exceeds 100 μm, the connecting film is too thick, and it becomes difficult to bring the base film and the shield film into close contact with each other when manufacturing the shield-printed wiring board.
In the connecting film of the present invention, the diameter of the conductive filler is preferably 2 to 200 μm.
When the diameter of the conductive filler is less than 2 μm, the contact between the conductive filler and the ground circuit and / or the contact between the conductive filler and the shield layer is likely to be separated. Therefore, the electrical contact between the ground circuit and the shield layer is easily cut off.
If the diameter of the conductive filler exceeds 200 μm, the conductive filler is too large, and it becomes difficult to bring the base film and the shield film into close contact with each other when manufacturing the shield-printed wiring board.
In the connecting film of the present invention, the conductive filler is at least one selected from the group consisting of copper powder, silver powder, nickel powder, silver-coated copper powder, gold-coated copper powder, silver-coated nickel powder and gold-coated nickel powder. It is desirable to consist of seeds.
Since these conductive fillers have good conductivity, they are suitable for electrically connecting the ground circuit and the shield layer.
In the connecting film of the present invention, it is desirable that the resin composition comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of thermosetting resins and thermoplastic resins.
In the connecting film of the present invention, either a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin can be used as the resin composition.
The method for manufacturing a shielded printed wiring board of the present invention includes a base film, a printed circuit including a ground circuit arranged on the base film, a base film composed of a coverlay covering the printed circuit, and an insulating adhesive. A method for manufacturing a printed wiring board including a layer, a shield layer laminated on the insulating adhesive layer, and a shield film composed of an insulating protective layer laminated on the shield layer. The connection film arranging step of preparing and arranging the connection film of the present invention above the ground circuit of the substrate film and the shield film are prepared, and the insulating adhesive layer of the shield film is the substrate. The coverlay of the film and the process of producing the base film-shield film laminate by arranging the shield film so as to adhere to the connection film and producing the substrate film-shield film laminate, and the conductivity of the connection film. It is characterized by including a pressing step of pressing the base film-shield film laminate so that the filler comes into contact with the ground circuit and the shield layer.
In the method for manufacturing a shield-printed wiring board of the present invention, the shield film is manufactured using the connection film of the present invention.
Therefore, the conductive filler can be easily arranged only between the ground circuit of the substrate film and the shield layer of the shield film.
As a result, it is possible to prevent the transmission characteristics of the manufactured shielded printed wiring board from being deteriorated.
In the method for manufacturing a shield-printed wiring board of the present invention, in the connection film arranging step, the ground circuit of the base film is exposed, and the connection film is arranged so that the convex portion of the connection film is in contact with the ground circuit. You may.
By arranging the connecting film in this way, the conductive filler and the ground circuit can be reliably brought into contact with each other.
In the method for manufacturing a shield-printed wiring board of the present invention, in the press step, the conductive filler of the connection film penetrates the insulating adhesive layer of the shield film and comes into contact with the shield layer of the shield film. , The substrate film-shield film laminate may be pressed.
By performing such a press, the conductive filler and the shield layer can be brought into contact with each other even if the connecting film is arranged at an arbitrary position.
The shield-printed wiring board of the present invention includes a base film, a printed circuit including a ground circuit arranged on the base film, a base film composed of a coverlay covering the printed circuit, an insulating adhesive layer, and the above. A shield provided with a shield layer laminated on an insulating adhesive layer and a shield film composed of an insulating protective layer laminated on the shield layer, and the insulating adhesive layer is adhered to the coverlay. In the printed wiring board, the connecting film of the present invention is further arranged between the ground circuit and the shield layer, and the conductive filler of the connecting film is the ground circuit and the above. It is characterized in that the ground circuit and the shield layer are electrically connected by contacting with the shield layer.
The connection film of the present invention is used for the shield printed wiring board of the present invention. Therefore, the ground circuit and the shield layer can be easily electrically connected at the time of manufacturing the shield printed wiring board.
In the shield-printed wiring board of the present invention, it is desirable that the connection film is arranged only between the ground circuit and the shield layer.
When the connecting film is arranged only between the ground circuit and the shield layer, it is possible to prevent the transmission characteristics from being deteriorated.

Next, the exposed evaluation circuit of the shield printed wiring board is connected to a network analyzer (KEYSIGHT, N5232A) via a probe (CASCADE Microtech, Z20-XD-GSSG), and is in the range of 10 MHz to 20 GHz. The signal was sent to the signal wiring, and the transmission loss of the shield printed wiring board according to each Example and each Comparative Example was measured. And the shield characteristic evaluation was also good.
Further, when a resin composition having a small relative permittivity and dielectric loss tangent was used as the adhesive composition constituting the insulating adhesive layer of the electromagnetic wave shielding film, the transmission loss of the high frequency signal could be further suppressed (Example). 1 and Example 3).
