Description
本発明は二軸延伸つや消し調ポリプロピレン系フィルム及びこれを用いた印刷フィルムに関し、特に美麗なつや消し調を実現するポリプロピレン系フィルムであるとともに良好な印刷適正も備えた印刷フィルムに関する。 The present invention relates to a biaxially stretched matte polypropylene film and a printing film using the same, and more particularly to a polypropylene film that realizes a beautiful matte tone and also has good printability.
Olefin films typified by polypropylene are widely used for packaging and protection of various foods and other articles because they have excellent durability, are inexpensive, and are easy to process. In such a film, in order to improve the product appeal of the food or article to be packaged, it has been required to add beauty to the packaging material. As one of them, various films expressing a frosted glass-like texture called a matte tone (matte tone) that suppresses the shining of the film surface and a film expressing a pearly luster have been proposed (
The biaxially stretched multilayer polypropylene film of
The matte film for overlamination of
特許文献5の二軸延伸積層ポリプロピレンフィルムは、二軸延伸されたプロピレン単独重合体とプロピレン・α−オレフィン共重合体とのプロピレン重合体組成物から得られる基層の少なくとも片面もしくは両面に、プロピレン系重合体とエチレン系重合体とのポリオレフィン組成物が積層されているフィルムである。特許文献5のフィルムによると、フィルムの厚さやつや消し調のむらが完全に解消されていない。また、特許文献5は印刷については言及されていない。
The biaxially stretched laminated polypropylene film of
The conventional film to which inorganic fine particles are added can express the beauty of pearly luster, but cannot express the beauty of matte tone. Further, in a film containing a propylene-based polymer and an ethylene-based polymer kneaded together, a matte tone is realized by roughening the surface. However, due to the effect of the roughening, printing on a matte rough surface has been difficult. Therefore, in order to obtain good print reproducibility, printing on the back surface or laminating with another printed film has been used.
従って、つや消し調ではない通常のフィルムへの印刷と比較すると、つや消し調フィルムの印刷のためには、別途の工程や資材が追加して必要となり、単価上昇が問題となっていた。そこで、つや消し調フィルム使用時における印刷の簡便さ、さらには製造原価の改善が模索されていた。 Therefore, as compared with printing on a normal non-matte film, printing of a matte film requires additional processes and materials, and an increase in unit price has become a problem. Therefore, it has been sought to improve the ease of printing and the manufacturing cost when using a matte film.
本発明は、上記状況に鑑み提案されたものであり、美麗なつや消し調の表面と高い隠蔽性を有する真珠様光沢層の両方を備えて高級感を増すとともに当該表面への直接印刷も可能とした二軸延伸つや消し調ポリプロピレン系フィルムと、これを用いた印刷フィルムを提供する。 The present invention has been proposed in view of the above circumstances, and is provided with both a beautiful matte surface and a pearly glossy layer having high hiding power to increase the sense of quality and enable direct printing on the surface. A biaxially stretched matte polypropylene film and a printing film using the same are provided.

請求項6の発明に係る印刷フィルムによると、請求項1ないし5のいずれか1項に記載の二軸延伸つや消し調ポリプロピレン系フィルムにおいて前記粗面層部の表面部に印刷部が形成されたため、包装用途の資材として好適なフィルムが出来上がる。
According to the printing film according to the invention of claim 6, since the printed portion was formed on the surface portion of the rough surface layer portion in the biaxially stretched matte polypropylene film according to any one of
As can be seen from the schematic cross-sectional view of the first embodiment of FIG. 1, the
つや消し調ポリプロピレン系フィルム1の厚さはフィルムの強度確保や安定した製膜の観点から規定され、概ね25ないし50μmの範囲である。基材層部10と粗面層部20の厚さの比率は、概ね10:1ないし25:1の範囲であり、粗面層部20側は相対的に薄く仕上げられる。ただし、厚さの比率は、つや消し調ポリプロピレン系フィルムの全体の厚さ、所望されるつや消し調の質感、または用途等に応じて設定される。
The thickness of the
The base
基材層部10では、平均粒径0.1ないし3.0μmの無機微粒子が基材層部10の原料樹脂内に添加される。その後、二軸延伸を経ると、フィルムを構成する樹脂は2次元的に拡張されるものの、無機微粒子は変形することなく留まる。そこで、無機微粒子の周囲に間隙が生じ、当該基材層部10の内部に微細な空間が形成される。
In the base
As the inorganic fine particles, calcium carbonate, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, and other inorganic white pigments are used. Calcium carbonate is inexpensive and is also used as a food additive, and it is preferable to assume packaging of foods and the like. The amount of the inorganic fine particles to be blended depends on the type, but when the resin of the base
The resin composition of the rough
The characteristics of the rough
三次元算術平均粗さSRaが0.3μmを下回る場合、粗面層部の凹凸感が弱くなり、むらの発生が懸念される。結果的につや消し調の所望の高級感が低下する。同SRaが0.8μmを上回る場合、グラビア印刷等の印刷適正が悪くなりやすい。従って、前記のSRaの範囲が好ましく、さらには、0.3ないし0.6μmがより好ましい。 When the three-dimensional arithmetic mean roughness SRa is less than 0.3 μm, the unevenness of the rough surface layer portion becomes weak, and there is a concern that unevenness may occur. As a result, the desired luxury of the matte tone is reduced. If the SRa exceeds 0.8 μm, the printing suitability of gravure printing or the like tends to deteriorate. Therefore, the SRa range is preferred, more preferably 0.3 to 0.6 μm.
三次元クルトシスSRkuは、フィルムの材質から2を上回る。同SRkuが4を上回る場合、高さ分布の高い凸状部分の割合が増加し、粗面層部の表面部におけるざらつきやむらの発生が多くなる。また、逆に光沢感も生じてしまい高級感を押し下げてしまう。従って、前記のSRkuの範囲が好ましく、さらには、2.9ないし3.5がより好ましい。 Three-dimensional Kurtosis SRku exceeds 2 from the material of the film. When the SRku exceeds 4, the proportion of the convex portion having a high height distribution increases, and the occurrence of roughness and unevenness on the surface portion of the rough surface layer portion increases. On the contrary, a glossy feeling is also generated, which lowers the high-class feeling. Therefore, the SRku range is preferable, and 2.9 to 3.5 is more preferable.
Next, the properties of the
光沢度は、フィルムの材質から5%を上回る。光沢度が20%を上回る場合、表面部にぎらつきや凹凸のむらが顕著となり、つや消し調フィルムの高級感や意匠性が損なわれる。そこで、好ましい光沢度は5ないし20%の範囲であり、さらには、10ないし20%の範囲である。 The glossiness exceeds 5% depending on the material of the film. When the glossiness exceeds 20%, glare and unevenness of unevenness become remarkable on the surface portion, and the high-class feeling and design of the matte-like film are impaired. Therefore, the preferred glossiness is in the range of 5 to 20%, and further in the range of 10 to 20%.
全光線透過率が10%を下回る場合、隠蔽性は非常に高まる。しかしながら、当該値を満たそうとすると、基材層部10への無機微粒子の添加量が過大になり、フィルム自体の脆弱化を招く。全光線透過率が40%を上回る場合、隠蔽性が低下し、本来の目的から乖離する。そこで、好ましい全光線透過率は10ないし40%の範囲であり、さらには、20ないし40%の範囲である。
When the total light transmittance is less than 10%, the hiding property is greatly enhanced. However, when trying to satisfy the value, the amount of the inorganic fine particles added to the base
It is considered appropriate that the density of the matte polypropylene film described so far is in the range of about 0.5 to 0.8 g / cm 3. In relation to the addition of the above-mentioned inorganic fine particles, the white turbidity due to diffused reflection increases as the addition of inorganic fine particles such as calcium carbonate increases. However, the density of the film itself decreases, which can cause the film to become weak. On the contrary, when the density is high, the addition of inorganic fine particles is reduced, and the expression of the matte tone of pearly luster having the high concealing property required by the present invention is not sufficient. Therefore, the above-mentioned density range is considered to be appropriate. Since the thickness of the matte polypropylene film itself and the ratio of the thickness of the base
The schematic cross-sectional view of the second embodiment of FIG. 2 shows a
The resin composition of the second
By adopting co-extruded biaxial stretching, the entire
The schematic cross-sectional view of the third embodiment of FIG. 3 shows the
In order to realize good printing on the

[Making a matte polypropylene film]
In producing the matte polypropylene films of Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4, the blending ratios (% by weight) shown in Tables 1 and 2 below are used. The films of Examples and Comparative Examples had a three-layer structure including a matte polypropylene film (dimming layer portion) and a second film layer portion. Therefore, pellets of the raw material resin corresponding to the rough surface layer portion, the base material layer portion, and the second film layer portion are supplied to the extruder, and the supplied raw materials are melted and kneaded to form a three-layer coextruded T-die film at a time. The film was formed by the machine and the subsequent biaxial stretching machine. The stretching ratio was 5 times in the vertical direction (winding direction, MD) and 8 times in the horizontal direction (width direction, TD), and the film was formed by sequential biaxial stretching. After the film formation, the rough surface layer side was subjected to corona treatment under the conditions used for general films.
〔厚さの測定〕
つや消し調ポリプロピレン系フィルム(つや消し調複合フィルム)について、厚さ測定器(株式会社東洋精機製作所製,B−1)を用い測定して全層厚さ(μm)を求めた。最終的なフィルムの層厚は全フィルム共通の30μmであった。粗面層部、基材層部、及び第2フィルム層部における各層部の厚さの比率(層比)は、表中の数値とした。
[Measurement of thickness]
The matte polypropylene film (matte composite film) was measured using a thickness measuring instrument (manufactured by Toyo Seiki Seisakusho Co., Ltd., B-1) to determine the total layer thickness (μm). The layer thickness of the final film was 30 μm, which was common to all films. The ratio (layer ratio) of the thickness of each layer portion in the rough surface layer portion, the base material layer portion, and the second film layer portion is a numerical value in the table.
各フィルムの密度(g/cm3)は、実施例及び比較例のフィルムの1m2あたりの重量(g/m2)を測定し、当該重量をフィルムの厚さ(μm)により除して求めた。 The density (g / cm 3 ) of each film is determined by measuring the weight per 1 m 2 (g / m 2 ) of the films of Examples and Comparative Examples and dividing the weight by the thickness of the film (μm). It was.

[Measurement of optical properties]
The glossiness was measured in accordance with JIS K 7105 (1981), using a gloss meter (UGV-5P manufactured by Suga Test Instruments Co., Ltd.) at an incident angle of 60 ° for all Examples and Comparative Examples.
The total light transmittance was measured in accordance with JIS K 7361-1 (1997), and all Examples and Comparative Examples were measured using a haze meter (manufactured by Nippon Denshoku Kogyo Co., Ltd., NDH-4000).
The films of Examples and Comparative Examples have a three-layer structure of a rough surface layer portion, a base material layer portion, and a second film layer portion. However, the second film layer portion is colorless and transparent in terms of resin composition. Therefore, although it has a three-layer structure, the second film layer portion was ignored and the film was regarded as a matte polypropylene-based film and used for optical measurement.
〔つや消し調の目視評価〕
つや消し調の目視評価は、前出の光沢度を補う評価事項である。目視によるつや消し調の評価に際し、作製したフィルムを蛍光灯の照明下に置き、位置をずらしながら反射光の様子を見た。フィルム表面の凹凸が均一であり光沢が抑制されていて、平滑面のような照り返しのない美麗なフィルムを良品の「A」の評価とした。これに対し、凹凸のむらや照り返しの強いフィルムを不良品の「F」の評価とした。
[Visual evaluation of matte tone]
The matte visual evaluation is an evaluation item that supplements the glossiness described above. In the visual evaluation of the matte tone, the produced film was placed under the illumination of a fluorescent lamp, and the state of the reflected light was observed while shifting the position. A beautiful film having uniform irregularities on the surface of the film, suppressed gloss, and no reflection such as a smooth surface was evaluated as "A" as a non-defective product. On the other hand, a film having uneven unevenness and strong reflection was evaluated as "F" as a defective product.
〔隠蔽感の目視評価〕
隠蔽感の目視評価は、前出の全光線透過率を補う評価事項である。目視による隠蔽感の評価に際し、作製したフィルムを蛍光灯の照明にかざし、当該フィルムを透過する光量を見た。フィルムを透過する光量が半減する程度まで減衰した美麗なフィルムを「A」の評価とした。透過する光量の減衰がほとんどないフィルムを不良品の「F」の評価とした。
[Visual evaluation of concealment]
The visual evaluation of the concealment feeling is an evaluation item that supplements the above-mentioned total light transmittance. In the visual evaluation of the concealment feeling, the produced film was held over the illumination of a fluorescent lamp, and the amount of light transmitted through the film was observed. A beautiful film whose amount of light transmitted through the film was attenuated to the extent that it was halved was evaluated as "A". A film with almost no attenuation of the amount of transmitted light was evaluated as a defective product "F".

Printing was performed on the rough surface layer portion of the films of Examples and Comparative Examples under the same conditions as described above. The ink transfer area of 20% of the print tone of the above-mentioned printing plate was automatically calculated by using the above-mentioned microscope or the like under simple polarized light. The threshold value was set automatically. In parallel with this, both the commercially available polypropylene film for lamination (PF1) and the pearly glossy polypropylene film (PF2) were printed under the same conditions, and the ink transfer area of both films was calculated under the same conditions. .. The ink transfer area referred to here is an index for evaluating the degree of unevenness (missing portion) caused by the adhesion of ink to the film surface.
Next, the first ink transfer area ratio (%) (RF1) was calculated by obtaining "{(ink transfer area of films of Examples and Comparative Examples) / (ink transfer area of film PF1)} x 100".
Similarly, the second ink transfer area ratio (%) (RF2) was also calculated by obtaining "{(ink transfer area of the films of Examples and Comparative Examples) / (ink transfer area ratio of film PF2)} x 100". ..
Then, the average ink transfer area ratio (%) (RFa) was calculated from the first and second ink transfer area ratios RF1 and RF2. The average ink transfer area ratio was calculated as "RFa = (RF1 + RF2) / 2".
実施例及び比較例の各平均インキ転移面積比率(RFa)の数値について、86%以上の例については、印刷のむらが極めて少なく良好であるとして「A」の評価とし、71ないし85%の例については、印刷のむらが少なく良好であるとして「B」の評価とした。これに対し、平均インキ転移面積比率(RFa)が70%以下の例については印刷不良であるとして「F」の評価とした。製品として適切な評価は「A,B」であり、「F」は製品に適さない。 Regarding the numerical value of each average ink transfer area ratio (RFa) of Examples and Comparative Examples, in the case of 86% or more, the printing unevenness was extremely small and good, and the evaluation was "A". Was evaluated as "B" because the printing unevenness was small and the printing was good. On the other hand, in the case where the average ink transfer area ratio (RFa) was 70% or less, it was evaluated as “F” because it was a printing defect. Appropriate evaluations for a product are "A, B", and "F" is not suitable for a product.

[Discussion]
There was a clear difference in evaluation between Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4. Looking at it in detail, Comparative Example 1 in which the three-dimensional arithmetic mean roughness SRa was maximized had a low print evaluation. Further, in Comparative Example 4 in which the SRa was the minimum, the increase in glossiness (emphasis on shining) became remarkable, resulting in a result contrary to the matte tone. Therefore, when the range of the three-dimensional arithmetic mean roughness SRa is defined, the range of 0.3 to 0.8 μm is a good example, and further, the range of 0.3 to 0.6 μm is a better example.
三次元クルトシスSRkuについて、2を下回る例を作製することはできなかった。そこで事実上の下限とした。同値が最大となる比較例4では光沢度の上昇により外観面が悪化した。従って、三次元クルトシスSRkuの範囲を規定すると、2ないし4の範囲であり、さらには、2.9ないし3.5の範囲がより好例である。 For 3D Kurtosis SRku, it was not possible to produce an example less than 2. Therefore, it was set as the de facto lower limit. In Comparative Example 4 in which the same value was maximized, the appearance surface deteriorated due to the increase in glossiness. Therefore, the range of 3D Kurtosis SRku is defined as the range of 2 to 4, and the range of 2.9 to 3.5 is a better example.
光沢度について、比較例2等の20%を超過する例では光沢度の上昇により外観面が悪化した。なお、光沢度の下限は樹脂フィルムの材質の特性から概ね5%と判断した。そこで、双方を勘案して、光沢度は5ないし20%の範囲であり、さらには、10ないし20%の範囲がより好例である。 Regarding the glossiness, in the case where the glossiness exceeds 20% as in Comparative Example 2, the appearance surface deteriorated due to the increase in the glossiness. The lower limit of glossiness was determined to be approximately 5% from the characteristics of the material of the resin film. Therefore, in consideration of both, the glossiness is in the range of 5 to 20%, and further, the range of 10 to 20% is a better example.
全光線透過率について、40%を超過する比較例3では隠蔽感が低くすぎる。なお、全光線透過率の下限についても樹脂フィルムの材質の特性から概ね10%と判断した。そこで、双方を勘案して、全光線透過率は10ないし40%の範囲であり、さらには、20ないし40%の範囲がより好例である。 With respect to the total light transmittance, the concealment feeling is too low in Comparative Example 3 exceeding 40%. The lower limit of the total light transmittance was also determined to be approximately 10% from the characteristics of the material of the resin film. Therefore, in consideration of both, the total light transmittance is in the range of 10 to 40%, and further, the range of 20 to 40% is a better example.
ぬれ張力における36mN/mは、フィルム表面へのインキによる良好な印刷を確保する上で最低限必要となる数値である。いずれの実施例においても、36mN/mを超過するぬれ張力を示した。従って、ぬれ張力の指標からも良好な印刷適正が明らかとなった。 The wetting tension of 36 mN / m is a minimum value required to ensure good printing with ink on the film surface. In each of the examples, the wetting tension exceeding 36 mN / m was exhibited. Therefore, good printing suitability was clarified from the index of wetting tension.
The films of Examples and Comparative Examples were matte-like composite films produced as a three-layer structure including a matte polypropylene-based film (dimming layer portion) and a second film layer portion, and various physical properties were evaluated for this. However, the second film layer itself is a thin layer and has a highly transparent resin composition. From this, it is considered that it is not inferior to the physical characteristics of the matte polypropylene film. Therefore, it was possible to produce a biaxially stretched matte polypropylene film having good printing performance on the outer surface side, and further a matte composite film. At the same time, it was possible to produce a printing film on which these were printed.
本発明の二軸延伸つや消し調ポリプロピレン系フィルムは、表面に粗面と内部に真珠調の光沢部位を備えた両方の性質を併せ持つ美麗なフィルムに仕上がった。また、当該フィルムの外側表面となる粗面層部に直接印刷を可能とした。従って、印刷済みフィルムの積層等の資材や工程の負担は低減される。さらに、包装材料への美麗さの付与が求められる各種食品、その他の物品の包装にも用途が広がる。 The biaxially stretched matte polypropylene film of the present invention is a beautiful film having both properties of having a rough surface on the surface and a pearly glossy portion on the inside. Further, it is possible to print directly on the rough surface layer portion which is the outer surface of the film. Therefore, the burden on materials and processes such as laminating printed films is reduced. Furthermore, it will be used for packaging various foods and other articles that are required to give beauty to packaging materials.
